I’ve lost all trust in Costco appliance purchases, 1.5 year old, $3k GE refrigerator broke on 12/8, I’ve been dealing with 20 days without a working fridge/freezer, terrible Costco warranty service with little communication & no end date of when I can expect it to be repaired…. The unit stopped cooling 20 days ago. It’s been unplugged since. I have a 1 year old and 3 year old at home, it’s been so challenging without a place to store leftover food & we can’t afford takeout. I called Costco warranty dept since the fridge is only a year old, I was optimistic for Costco’s superb warranty service only to receive the complete opposite. This has been 20 days of little communication, a repair team was assigned within a few days (2.3 star repair team, I should have known how this was going to go), they determine the compressor is broken, they need to order the parts, they will call me once the parts are in to schedule the repair appt. Back and forth with Costco and the repair team, there is no eta of when the parts will be delivered. Silence…. Costco service reps continue to “escalate” with GE and I will “hear back” within 24-48 hrs, Costco’s team never receives a response from their escalations, I only receive email updates that they have not received a response/acknowledgement from GE. The Costco service team continues to tell me this is GEs problem and they can’t help me. It’s still being “escalated” to GEs mgmt team, I should hear back within 24-48 hrs. Read moreI came out of a long day at work i came with my mom and aunt to this Costco to get groceries i was in the car resting for a bit i was extremely tired when my aunt calls me telling me that my mom was being disrespected by a worker named Roberto mind you my mom has severe anxiety Roberto was acussing her of adding more cucumbers to a bag of cucumbers mind you in the bag it strictly says six cucumbers my mom picked a bag of cucumbers some were rotten so she put them back and got another and Roberto comes and disrespecting her in Spanish accusing her of getting more then sick when she only changed the bag hurt by his attitude my mom told him she will tell management about his behavior and his response to go ahead and tell them that he wasn’t scared what kind of employe goes accuses you of something like that and instead of paying attention to the bag of six cucumbers that you can’t add more he disrespects you and gives you attitude and still tell you he’s not afraid that you report his rude behavior to management like my mom said check the cameras and you will see that I’m not adding more that she’s not doing anything wrong i hope management takes accountability for this this encounter gave my mom an anxiety attack you guys made her cry and feel bad I can only tell you to do better and do something about your rude employees and take action since he said he wasn’t scared I hope you guys don’t let stuff like this off the hook and...
Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with a disturbing encounter my daughter and I had with an employee named Mauricio at approximately 4:00 pm. We approached Mauricio in the meat section and politely asked for his assistance. Despite our kind request, Mauricio responded rudely, leaving my daughter feeling helpless.
To make matters worse, when my daughter attempted to report the incident to a manager, who appeared to be a short white male, he dismissed our concerns, saying, 'That's hard to believe, he's a very nice guy.' This response left my daughter in tears.
Fortunately, another employee approached us and listened attentively to our concerns. His kindness was a stark contrast to the unacceptable behavior we experienced.
As loyal Costco customers, with multiple family members holding membership cards, we were disheartened by this encounter. Given Costco's public support for the Hispanic community, we had expected a more welcoming and respectful environment.
