Germán Seafood Food Truck — Restaurant in San Marcos

Very good food, but don't ever pay with a credit card.

They will charge you an extra $10 or so, and hope you don't notice. It happened to me twice. When you request a receipt, you see they just enter "Custom Item" as one line item, and then punch in some arbitrary amount.

The second time, I called them out on it, and they just pretend they misheard your order. Then I noticed the same EXACT thing happened to a stranger in front of me. They're very apologetic and refund the money, but they are definitely trying to fleece a few extra dollars from people who aren't paying attention.

Both times, the lady at the register was the one who wears sunglasses inside, and always dresses in skimpy showing cleavage, hoping for tips. They also don't devein their shrimp sometimes,...

Thought about giving them 1 star but the food is good. The service is always a toss up. Today I ordered my tacos, paid and waited..... for 30 min. They finally ask me “can I help with something?” I was so confused and I said yeah I’m waiting on my 3 tacos. Guy tells me he already made them but they gave them to a different guy. I was so mad cause I waited my whole lunch time for this food and to make it worse they tried to make it seem like it was my fault. I will say could’ve acted with a little more class, but i was hungry and very frustrated that they tried to blame this on me. I let those two guys hear it, and I mean hear it. I love there food but I now have a problem with them not taking the safety of customers. The cook was seen today not wearing a mask singing loud over the food he was prepping. When told to wear a mask he walked out with the same glove he was wearing to his car opened the door with them on and continue to cook. People have wifes, kids, some are pregnant and we have this virus out. we expect you to handle my food with out spiting on it spreading germs.
