This place was a part of my many adventures in SoCal during my bead store hunt this past month and was possibly the furthest away from my home. A Place to Bead is a cozy shop that is decorated from ceiling to floor with their jewelry crafting products. Like the other shops I've been to, I was hunting for a good amount of 11/0 seed beads that were available in a variety of colors and were for a good price in relation to their quantity. Unfortunately, this shop was very clearly overpricing a large amount of their seed beads in small plastic bags. A mere 5g worth of seed beads would fetch $4 where they would be sold in greater quantities and for more affordable prices elsewhere (e.g. 20g for $3-$4). Outside of the seed beads, the shop sold many unique, singular beads and a fair amount of thread and findings along the wall with somewhat decent prices. Read morei love coming to this place to fulfill all sorts of my beading needs. they have a lot of unique findings that you can't really find anywhere else's. they also offer classes from time to time for a reasonable fee.
