PIZZANISTA! San Marino — Restaurant in San Marino

As a vegan family, finding a pizza place that caters to all of us and delivers on flavor can be tough. BUT Pizzanista in San Marino never disappoints! This spot has become our absolute favorite for pizza nights, and for good reason.

Our usual order? The Vegan Sicilian Pepperoni Pizza (crispy, thick, and packed with flavor), the Vegan Margherita Pizza (classic, simple, and oh-so-good), and we always start with the vegan garlic knots because, well, they’re irresistible.

What really makes Pizzanista stand out, though, is the experience. The head chef/owner/partner (not exactly sure, but he runs the show!) is always welcoming, kind, and clearly passionate about what they do. His energy makes every visit even better.

With pizza joints on every corner, we always choose Pizzanista when the cravings hit. The quality, the flavors, and the friendly vibes keep us coming back. If you’re vegan (or just love great pizza), this place is a must-try!...

Pizzanista is a beautiful, small eatery tucked away in the business district of San Marino on Mission Street. Its staff is warm and friendly which made my visit seem like I had dropped in on the good side of my family. I sampled huge, generous slices of pizza including Goat Cheese, Pepperoni, Margherita and Sicilian. Some of the very best tasting pizza I’ve had in years, and very reminiscent of the now-shuttered famous Avanti Pizza restaurant on Lake Avenue in Pasadena. Long story short make sure you check your pizza before eating it as I came in to try out the pizza and I saw a fly inside the pizza case flying all over the pizza which is utterly disgusting I had to ask for pizza in the back just to make sure that there was no flies that had flown on them and even then who knows why could have gone on that pizza hopefully I don't get sick either way it's pretty disgusting what they need to do is have the front counter where the pizza's at in an enclosed container so flies can't get into it so if you get sick just know that it's because flies are chilling all over the front Pizza I also included a picture of the fly in the front counter where...
