We first visited another store and got a sense of prices. But the rep there did not have the expertise we needed, since we've never bought carpet before. When we went to Carpet One we sought an experienced veteran and got Paul, who provided great service. He told us everything about the different types, choices, etc. but also brought up things we realized were important but did not know to ask about. He took as long as needed for us to consider different options, showed a wide variety of colors that would complement our paint colors, and the style and texture we'd be happy with for a long time.

Later, Ken was lead on our home visit, to formally measure to get the firm proposal. My impression is that their pricing was comparable to the other store but I felt the quality and customer focused experience was stronger here. Ken was expert in his review of our home and later in managing the installation, keeping us informed of all we needed to do and what they would do. The installation was exactly when promised and when I surprised them with needing it done in one day because of a death in the family, Ken and his install team pulled in additional help to get it done same day.

The carpet is beautiful and seems extremely well installed. They smoothed out entries to doors so that there was no need for the annoying metal divider. The mesh with the baseboard worked out fine and no touch up paint needed. The pad is great, we love walking barefoot on the carpet. It vacuums well without looking like we've just run the vacuum on it, which was one of the points that Paul mentioned can be irritant for new carpet buyers of certain carpet types.

When I shop for big purchases, I want a place that is honest, knowledgeable, reliable, high quality product and good, fair price. I feel I got all that and more so I am happy to provide a very favorable review for others that may be carpet...

EXCELLENT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! From the time we entered the store to job completion, everyone we have interacted with is top notch. We had our downstairs hardwood floors replaced with new hardwood floors following a flood. We were first greeted and helped by Angelique at the store. Her customer service is outstanding and her help in picking our floors within our budget was fantastic. She and everyone at the store is so kind and patient. Gregory (owner) was excellent at estimating with attention to detail. Many other flooring companies forgot to check clearance/different thickness between old and new floor but he did not miss a detail. We went with Carpet One SR after the outstanding interactions with Angelique and Gregory. Felix was our lead installer and he and his whole team were amazing! They worked so hard on what was a very challenging job and were done on time and the craftsmanship is truly superb (including the most beautiful transitions).
