I want to share our very disappointing experience with this third party seller who fulfilled a PS5 order we placed through Walmart. While it was listed as âlike new,â the console we received was anything but.
From the moment my brother tried to use it, it overheated within minutes. The fan didnât work properly, and he couldnât even start a game without the console shutting down. Despite the companyâs supposed â90-day no-defect guarantee,â weâve had zero luck getting in touch with them. Our email to them about the issue has gone unanswered for over a week and a half. Every phone call during their listed business hours just leads to a message saying theyâre unavailable. Weâve left voicemails and still no response.
We even took the console to a repair shop to get it diagnosed, and the technician found multiple issues. Itâs clear this was a poorly refurbished unit. There was superglue piled up where a connector should have been, the fan was an aftermarket part that has visible damage. The repair shop was shocked and told us that there are probably other issues with it and that it would cost as much as a brand new PS5 to fix all the problems. In other words, this was nowhere near âlike new.â
We also tried reaching out to Walmart for help since we bought it through their platform, but they recommended contacting the seller so we were trying that first. I just reached out to Walmart again and they are going to process a full refund because we havenât heard back. So thank you Walmart! But we are out the $70 that we paid to get it diagnosed. Maybe we shouldnât have taken that step, but we felt we werenât getting an answer and thought knowing the issue might help.
Overall, I am glad we are getting the money back, but still hope to warn others that this company has terrible customer service and their repair quality...

I purchased 2 GameCube games from them through the Walmart App and I was very happy with the quality of the games I had received! Theyâre so nostalgic and remind me so much of being a kid again! â€ïž 1 of them had a case, the other did not. I donât believe that was specified, but it very well may have, even though I did double check it but itâs possible I over looked it. I mean I did overlook the second game I received that they had carefully stored in the case of the game I received. So yeah, I donât have the greatest track record with paying the best of attention at times. đ But anyway, Iâve been ordering games both new and used for 10+ years and I know that thereâs always the risk of purchasing a game that may show up with or without a case. So that wasnât a problem! But the game that I did want to have a case, definitely showed up with the case, and I am so stoked over that! The paper insert from GamerGirlz was so sweet and made me feel like a valued customer. They make it very clear that they are willing to make all kinds of accommodations for us customers, free of charge and to communicate anything we need. â€ïž It was so refreshing to see that! đ„°
