If you want a no-frills haircut done quickly, this is your place. I get what I pay for at Phil P’s, and like he says, I’ll see him next time.

When I first downloaded the Phil P app and saw that he booked in 15 minute increments, I thought , “Seriously? Is he really done in 15?” He surely is. I’ve never been late to plans after a haircut, because I’m in and out. Phil has mastered the classic cuts and doesn’t rely on Bigen, or any of those other theatrics that a lot of the newer barbers like to dazzle you with, at the expense of their skill.

Note: I’m a woman, as is my roommate who I sent here. Phil has never tried to talk us out of a cut, or tried softening up what I asked for, which is a huge plus (and not the standard for every barber). I’ve had other barbers elsewhere not give me what I want or try to talk me out of masculine cuts. If you’re in the market for a new shop with personality and no nonsense, go to Phil P’s. Just make sure to book your appointment in the app and note that you’ll need to wait outside on the bench for your cut (as the shop doesn’t let people sit inside as a COVID...

This barbershop is 1000% legit. Went in last minute, day before my wedding, with no appointment. My guy stayed over and hooked me up super clean! Absolutely zero attitude about staying late and pushing back his own after work plans. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the best cut! Mad props to these guys! Would give more than a 5 star rating if I could....
