I searched for months for a good esthetician that I might be comfortable with and came upon this facility on instagram. Iâve been a follower for months and based on the raving reviews, decided to book a consult with Christina. I was so excited about finally getting back to taking care of my skin. I drove 45 minutes to the location, checked in , and was told to wait in the waiting area while someone from the front desk let Christina know that I was here for my appointment. The facility is nice and tidy. I was then called back, placed in a room and told that Christina would be right with me. The young lady from the front desk then comes back in and tells me that she will actually be doing my consult. No explanation as to Christinaâs whereabouts. She stands across the room and tells me that from the look of my skin she would recommend the VI precision plus chemical peel because she got it done and it worked for her. In all we spent about 10 minutes in the room, 8 of which we spoke about piercings and tattoos. Then she advised me to wash my face with cool water and was ready to book an appointment for the chemical peel. My expectation was that an esthetician would look at my skin, recommend a daily routine based on my skin type and condition and from there recommend a course of treatment in terms of more extensive/invasive procedures. I was also expecting that I might be able to purchase the necessary products that same day or place an order. I donât know what made her think that I was going to schedule one of their strongest chemical peels, without having some kind of routine or skin maintenance established and after having my skin looked at from across the room. I am no skincare expert but I know enough to recognize the red flags. Never going back there. You can create whatever image you desire over the internet and anything that is hyped up on social media consistently turns out to be a disappointment, as is...
Read moreI recently moved to Atlanta and decided to search for an esthetician on Instagram. I came across The Atlanta Aesthetician and was initially pleased with the friendly reception and consultation. However, my experience turned sour when I met Miss Jamesa, who was unpleasant and seemed uninterested in providing a good facial. She spent an excessive amount of time on my nose and rushed through the rest of the facial. Afterward, she tried to sell me on a 30-minute hydro facial. Unfortunately, two days later, I noticed that my skin had been badly burned. Although I didn't report this to Miss Jamesa, I have extensive experience with facials and know how to treat burns. Needless to say, this was the worst facial experience of my life, and I would not recommend The Atlanta Aesthetician. I cannot, in good conscience, give THE ATLANTA AESTHETICIAN anything above a zero-star rating. It is unacceptable that my hard-earned money is being wasted on a SERVICES that clearly does not meet basic standards. I demand the same level of quality and service as your high-profile clients. Anything less is simply unacceptable. I'd rather purchase a plane ticket to return to Florida than to endure the risk of someone like you putting your hand in my face here in Atlanta. It's imperative to be cautious of the authenticity of Instagram businesses, as appearances can be deceiving. Despite the popularity of hydro facials and peels, they do not provide adequate skin treatment. For optimal results, extractions and thorough steam are more effective in treating the skin. The removal of the top layer of skin is unnecessary.
I only had to visit your establishment once to know it wasn't for me. It's been nearly nine or ten months since my visit, but every time I share my experience with others, they insist I should leave a review. As you mentioned my absence in recent years, I will provide the appointment details and upload them as...
Read moreI had a hydra facial with Jamesa which I was very excited about last week. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. I'll make this short as possible. When I arrived on time I was greeted by Jamesa in a very unwelcoming way which set the tone for the entire experience. She never did a consultation, I didn't do any paperwork and she barely asked me any questions about my skin. Let me also say that I worked at the Spa at Mandarin Oriental Atlanta and I also went to aesthetics school. I'll skip over the invite to the room where my facial was held..it was terrible as well. She never looked at my skin under the wood lamp. When she returned with the hydra facial machine and started my facial she asked about the pressure after completing one side of my face. I've had several hydra facials and none of them have been this aggressive. She did ask me about the pressure but I was so over it that I didn't even care. She did some extractions on my nose and chin. My chin is now textured with scars. I came ready to buy products and she recommended none. The best part was when I was getting the red light therapy and she wasn't touching me. It's been at least 6 months since I've had a facial so I was ready to relax but that was not the case. Here's the thing..providers in Atlanta such as hair stylist, hair braiders and aestheticians feel as if they provide services for a few "Insta famous" people, that they can treat people like me any kinda way. People who have a regular job and who want to be loyal. I was actually looking for someone I can see once a month but I guess I'll keep searching. Oh, the two stars are for the facility. It was actually nice.Just to clarify, I never had facials with Jamesa. I've had facials before but this was...
