Decent food, "meh service." I came here on 2 separate occasions and found a lack of consistency.🫤

First time around, I came as part of a Meetup of 30 people. Service was nice, asked me for spice level, gave me the right bill, offered us free Indian tea with real sugar. I had the Chef's special and found the portions not enough but tasty.🙂

Second time I went with a friend and everything sucked!! 😮‍💨 From the beginning, the table wasn't prepped... We had a bottle of water, no cups. I got a biryani and it only came with 3 pieces of chicken, but flooded with spicy rice (didn't ask for my spice tolerance). I got the tea again and asked for sugar, but was given those crummy 0 calorie sweetener. My Indian friend fought for me to get the real sugar like last time.

Lastly, I explicitly told the waitress and gave her a hand-gesture to give us separate checks but she 🫣HID🧐the price from the little credit card machine to go straight to entering tips and inserting your credit card. I wasn't immediately aware the bill was for 2 people because I was tired in the evening... we asked the manager if he could correct it, but they didn't want to try, so my friend just paid me back cash after complications with Venmo.😡🙄😑😒

For the price I paid ($30) and quality of food, I'm not coming back here unless I'm very detailed in telling them how to do their jobs... But it's not worth it. I'll stick to Cafe Bombay in Briarcliff (avg $22). Been going there for the past 10 years and the quality, service, and taste makes this place look like it's ran by amateurs in a...

Went to this place on a recommendation for the best biryani.

The decor was good with a decent bar at the back of the restaurant. The restaurant was mostly empty but it was a midweek night.

The food and drinks orders were taken fairly quickly. What was a little disappointing was the soft drinks were served in the cans they came in. Not a great start.

The appetisers came a short while later. Unfortunately, they told us that one of the dishes was vegetarian. It turned out to be chicken and the vegetarians had started eating. Staff were not concerned with the mix up and just asked if we wanted another dish. The non-veg starters were good.

The main course came soon after. Although the curry dishes were good, the biryani was very disappointing. A small layer of chicken at the bottom with normal rice on top. Not really a biryani in my books. The pepper chicken curry was very good and the garlic chilli nan was also good. I would go back for that, but definitely not the biryani.

Cost wise, it was relatively cheap. Worked out at about $30 per person.

Picked up a takeaway today. Most of the food was adequate / good. One of the chicken dishes did have way too much lemon in it. But, otherwise all good. Oh and yes, didn't get the biryani.

Portion sizes were on the slightly small side and but the overall cost was lower than expected.

Still unable to work out why we are asked to include a tip for a pickup order. Hmmmmmmm!

Will definitely try again...

The food was wonderful, and our waitress was very kind. We ordered Vegetable Samosas, Butter Chicken, Shrimp Tikka Masala, Butter Naan, and Chai Tea. Both entrées had great flavor. We enjoyed everything about our dinner, so we'll definitely be back.

Update: Unfortunately, our second visit was less than pleasant. We went on a Friday the first time and on a Sunday the second time. We ordered almost the same thing, but this time the butter chicken sauce was different. It was chunkier in texture and had a lot of green herbs and onions. The waitress said it was butter chicken but made by a different chef. Regardless, we didn't like it and feel the recipe should be consistent. The second she realized that we wanted the food remade, customer service went out the window. She had an attitude, never acknowledged our thank you's after that, never checked on us, and never brought our chai tea that she knew we were waiting for because she mentioned it when she was initially called to our table about the issue. The chai tea is on a table by the kitchen window and shouldn't have taken 30 minutes to receive. To make matters worse, we were waiting for the check for about 10 minutes, and when the waitress finally graced us with her presence, she asked if we were done because the restaurant was closed. We were waiting on you, Bilita (waitress), and in case you aren't aware, the hours on Google say 10p, not 9:30p closing on Sunday. Update your hours and lose...

The food here is one of the best in the world. The place is known for their biriyani, specially all the vegetarian biryani and chicken biryani. I would especially recommend this to anybody who likes to try North Indian and South Indian food because they have both you. This has a variety of food places like you can get garlic naan, Panner Tikka Masala, poori, etc.. This place has great Service the time it takes is short for any food to arrive. They usually give us most of the food in less than 30 seconds. When they start giving out the first meal sometimes when it’s a busy day it doesn’t have that case for example, today we were the only people in the restaurant because we came here for lunch where people usually come at 3 o’clock or 2 o’clock to eat food here. So the number of factors that go through the atmosphere here they have a projector screen that is usually better at night. As it’s a projector it’s better to see at night. They have outdoor seating and they have large tables for groups of guests. They do have a bar which does look awesome. They have outdoor seating on many areas of the building. They do have awesome sound music that does come to the background, and for occasionally events they have lights around the building.
