I would never stay here again because of concerns with their financial handlings. Staff were friendly in passing - and helpful in resolving our room issue once requested in-person. Location was good for what I needed. I booked the room a month in advance (My booking costs, over the phone, also included 2 breakfast vouchers - $10 I think, that doesn't exist).
However, constant "system issues" and mystery charges that don't "exist" in their system (still have +$400 charged to the card I checked in with). No incidentals I have tried resolving this for over a week and I get pushed to the next person's voicemail, where they don't answer or return calls. I would advise against staying here. From the moment I checked in, I was told the room wasn't ready. I was extremely concerned because I was having surgery in the AM and needed my room by the check-in time. Suddenly, there was a room available. Once I got settled in, I realized it was not the two beds I was charged for (will address later). About 20 minutes later I hear a key trying to get it in. I wasn't dressed, so I ignored it assuming they would realize they were in the wrong room. Boy was I wrong. A man walks into my room with his keycard on his phone. Apparently, he picked the room the day before....here I am, also assigned to the room. I call downstairs they apologize..."system issues." 10 minutes later they called back and asked what my name was..."system issues."
My family arrives the next day (I am in the hospital) with inadequate bed space. They addressed it with a nice lady at the desk that said they would have the room I booked by the evening. I'm not sure where it went wrong, but I was charged the price for the larger room, then charged another $404 (unknown) and $26 (unknown). All charges they say they don't have record of. At this time I've had a small amount of my room over-charge reimbursed, but the mystery charges will have to go through the bank and maybe Fox5 - just can't get help from the hotel! When I checked my card(s) after my stay I found the total over 1k for 2 nights with one bed and 1 night with 2 beds. My reservation was for $607.
Even if everything had went as planned they still were planning on charging me $20 more than what my reservation that was emailed to me stated which included fees and taxes....crazy.
EDIT: I contacted the email address below. They proceeded to tell me there was not record of my transactions after their "investigation." I sent them screenshots of the charges on two different cards. They then told me they needed the full statements to prove the validity. So, I sent my personal information to them. I suddenly get an email from another person stating this isn't my case, with the person CC'd. This individual now has access to my bank statment and personal info. Once "proved" that they significantly overcharged me, it takes another 30+ days for a check to be...
Read moreI selected this rating because the whole experience started off bad. I had to request to change rooms several times. The first rooms (209) sofa cushions was ripping apart at the seams. We did not want to be accused of destroying hotel property so we asked for another room. The second rooms (207) sofa had white stains on the seat cushions and my husband refused to sit on it and a burn mark on the desk. The third room (204) wreaked of cigarette smoke. A staff member from engineering was with us and brought us the keys to the room so he witnessed that it smelled like smoke. By the time we went downstairs to let them know that I have asthma; there were no more rooms with whirlpool tubs available. We decided to make the best of it and went to the bar to get drinks and food. We both had New York Strip steak dinners. It was served to us on plastic disposable plates and with plastic utensils. The food was good and very tasty, but it was very difficult to eat with plastic utensils. I was very disappointed because it was nothing of what I expected. We never used the whirlpool tub because the suite did not look clean or well kept. Also, we were told that there would not be any regular maid service so we would have to call guest services before 9:00 A.M. for more towels should we need them; and of course we did. We also attempted to have coffee in our room us, but there was only one cup so I had to wait until my husband was done to have a cup for myself. I did call the front desk so that we would have cups and coffee for the next morning. She brought packets of coffee, sugar and cream, but no cups or artificial sweetener for my husband. She returned with cups only, so needless to say we did not have coffee on Monday morning. I wanted this to be a nice trip for my husband and I thought that I had booked an appealing and swanky place for us to stay. We came there to see a celebrity performance that my husband knows the celebrity personally. I bought a table for 4, booked our airline tickets, reserved a rental car and made reservations for our 2 French Bulldogs at a hotel and spa that we always board them with when we travel. When we checked out on Monday morning I told the desk clerk that I should have gotten some sort of concession for all of the trouble and he informed me that it had already been taken care of and I was only being charged for 1 night. I am not one to complain, but this was really bad. This could be a terrific hotel if it was completely updated and redone. I am a Hilton Honors member and have stayed at many Hilton properties all over the United States. My most recent stay prior to this one was at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia in May for our grandson's graduation and I had no complaints. ...
Read moreMy wife & I booked a stay here for a mini babymoon/staycation before child#4 made his way into the world. We were fairly warmly greeted, thanked for being Diamond members, etc. & were then given key cards for our room. When we got to our room, I was immediately disappointed at the state of the room. Not only did it feel a bit dingy, everything seemed kind of outdated. Although they describe themselves as "newly renovated," I would not have been able to guess what part of the hotel was newly renovated. We had to immediately move rooms because the panel for our whirlpool tub (the reason we booked this specific room in this specific hotel) was on the floor of the bathroom with the internals completely exposed. Apparently, the duct tape that they applied to the panel & tub decided it had enough. I secretly hoped that the room we checked into was a fluke & that the new room would be much nicer. I was wrong. It was pretty much the same condition.
Some things that could use improvement: SECURE THE WHIRLPOOL PANELS. These are supposed to be the nicest rooms in the entire hotel. 2/2 of the rooms I checked into had panels that were literally off the tub (see attached photo). This is a simple fix & shows how much/little you really care. Drippy showers. The showers could not be shut off completely. The dripping noise was so bad that we could hear it at night. I had to pile towels where the water drips to try to dampen the noise as much as I could. Refinish the walls/ceilings. You can tell that the room was aged & something as simple as a fresh paint job to cover the water spots & discoloration would make your guests feel like they're actually staying somewhere worth their money. Better enforcement of quiet hours. We literally had guests (who obviously knew each other) lounging in the hallway past midnight for about an hour. We heard them from our bedroom - the furthest point from our door - & my wife - a nine month pregnant light sleeper couldn't fall asleep. We called the front desk but not much changed.
Things they do well: Breakfast. Granted, you have to pay for the breakfast buffet at Hiltons now (even as a Diamond member, you get daily dollar-value vouchers but they are never enough to fully cover the breakfast).. but the breakfast & the breakfast staff were amazing. By far the highlight of our stay! Literally saved this review with...
