First Thoughts : Very easy to find and impressed on interior design of this place. Also the way they are handling this Covid-19, I thought I was in a Hospital because they were wiping down pens and tables with Clorox wipes (basically everything that the customers touches), hand sanitizer, gloves, and spit guard mask which I never seen before. I felt very safe and clean eating at this place. Felt like I can bring my family and enjoy this place when it opens the dining area.
Service : Was greeted immediately once I walked in. Very polite and great positive attitude. Danny (Owner) had asked if I needed help with menu but it was self explanatory. The only hard part was choosing what I wanted from the sides cause there were so many good sides to choose from. To help me from deciding he actually insisted of samples so I could make my mind up but instead it made me want to get everything on the menu. But finally came to a decision due to his friendly worker Lissette. She said her favorite is Carmalized Brussels, Danny's favorite was the LA Street Corn, the chef said I absolutely needed to try mini Potstickers and I picked the broccoli.
Wait Time : 15 minutes
Food : I got myself a Just Sides Plate (comes with 3 sides of your choice and 2 slices of pita.) I chose the LA Street Corn / Caramelized Brussels Sprouts / Sauteed Broccoli also added a Mini Vegan Potstickers. The LA Street Corn was very explosive with flavors, it was drizzled with cilantro sauce, lemon garlic sauce, cotija cheese (Mexican parmesan cheese), parsley, and sumac seasoning. Let me tell you when I say I hate Brussels Sprouts since I was a little boy. I found out that all this time it was my mom who was making them wrong cause these Caramelized Brussels Sprouts was the best I ever tasted. I highly recommend you guys try this cause they give samples before you commit. That's the best part of this restaurant. My 3rd choice was Sauteed Broccoli and these chef knew exactly how much to saute my broccoli cause I hate it when it comes out to soggy or to hard. It was just enough crunch and flavor that makes it different from other restaurants. Now for my last dish was Mini Vegan Potstickers (fried dumplings). The first bite I took I thought there was pork or meat in these Potstickers. I had to ask the cashier if they accidentally gave a meat Potstickers and he said they only have one kind which were vegan. The reason I asked was because I'm Vegan and cant eat meat. My gosh still can't believe how good these Potstickers were. They hand make these themself and the mystery behind the meat taste was jicama. People you must try this or you'll regret it.
Overall Experience : The best thing about this place is how a vegan person like me can bring my friends and family here because they have best of both worlds. They have Chicken breast, Wings, Pulled Pork for the meat eaters and for the vegans they have Portobello Mushrooms, and Falafel. This place is good to have a party because it's so spacious and the parking spaces is so huge. Overall you just have to try it for yourself to see why everyone is so addicted to this place. Here are some photo of my food and place.
Delivery : Yes they deliver within 5 mile radius and with a minimum of $20 order. Also the delivery is FREE. They use their own in house drivers so you won't need to worry about your food being tainted.
Curbside : Yes they offer curbside. The best part about curbside is they have a big parking lot in the back, it's located in the same building as the apartment complex building. Love the fact they Clorox wipe the pens for you and afterwards they give you a squirt of hand sanitizer.
Takeout : The restaurant has there doors wide open so you dont need to touch and door handles and they provide the hand sanitizer for you after signing the electronic pad. Also has premade drink cups so it minimizes the people...
Read moreHusband-and-wife team Danny and Diana Kim are the visionaries behind Local Expedition, which features fast-casual, global cuisine featuring locally-grown ingredients and hormone-free meats.
Local Expedition is located on the lower level of the Arabelle Perimeter Apartments at the corner of Hammond Drive and Peachtree Dunwoody Road. The eatery is MARTA accessible via the 5 bus or a half-mile walk from the Dunwoody Station.
The first Local Expedition is located in Alpharetta on Windward Parkway. I was starving one Saturday and was looking for somewhere to eat in the Perimeter area that wasn’t within the Perimeter Mall area. Local Expedition was the nearest location on Yelp that looked promising.
Local Expedition’s menu features a build-your-own meal, where diners select their protein (chicken breast, smoked pulled pork, grilled & smoked chicken wings, vegan falafel, portobello mushrooms), rice or garden salad, one or two sides, pita & sauces (Cilantro, Spicy BBQ, Sweet BBQ, and Lemon Garlic). There are also specialty sides and salads to add.
I ordered the Smoked Pulled Pork, Caesar salad (in place of rice), and Veggie Curry. On a subsequent visit, I had the Chicken Wings with L.A. Street Corn, Mini Potstickers, with a fountain drink (who could pass up such a cool Stubborn Soda station).
I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and flavor of the pulled pork and curry. The smoked chicken wings were pretty solid and were finished by my husband as soon as I got home. The corn is also worth the $1.00 upcharge for specialty sides. I personally like the Spicy BBQ and Lemon Garlic sauces with my meals.
I appreciated having a fast-casual eatery with a variety of healthy, delicious options. This is definitely a restaurant I will frequent whenever I am in the...
