Although I already have a go to Sushi spot, I'm usually open to trying new spots just to see what they're about and if I can add them to the rotation. I'm happy to say, this spot can be added to the rotation.
It's located in a small strip mall with a few other restaurants. It has a free parking lot with tons of parking. This is 1 of those restaurants where it appears most of its business is to go orders so if you choose to dine in, you'll very rarely have to wait for a table to become available based on what I saw. I recommend you dine in for the possibility of a little bonus as well. I love the ambiance of the place too. Very fitting to the food and culture of the restaurant. Service was impeccable and food came out very fast. So fast that the main entree was on my table before I could finish my appetizer!
Onto the food, this order consisted of bang bang shrimp as an appetizer, K- Ramen with spicy pork, bagel roll sushi, and ginger beer for beverage. The K in the ramen stands for Korean as they also serve J-Ramen or Japanese ramen. I've had tons of Japanese ramen but never tried Korean before. It is good, just a bit different from its Japanese counterpart. Noodles were firm but not soggy, which is my personal preference. The broth and dish was well seasoned with plenty of meat. My only complaint about the ramen is the noodle/meat balance. I ran out of noodles a good bit before running out of meat but the dish was poppin'! The shrimp was good and crispy with the bang bang sauce on point. Ginger beer was good and I've never seen the manufacturer but I do recommend it if you like ginger beer. The sushi was decent. Nothing to write home about but definitely not bad either. They don't use standard sweet eel sauce though. It's very thick and paste-y and not sweet at all so just a heads up there. The roll consists of salmon, cream cheese and avocado on the inside. Outside is topped with their eel sauce, spicy mayo, masago, and scallions.
If it was possible, I'd rate this restaurant a 4.5/5 but Google doesn't do half ratings so take from that what you will. If you enjoy Asian cuisine though, I'd say give these...

One Sushi is an absolute gem here in Atlanta! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming—clean, comfortable, and stylish without feeling over the top. It’s the kind of place that works equally well for a casual dinner or a special night out.
We tried several dishes during our visit: the ramen, yakisoba, lobster rangoon, and macarons. Every single item was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ramen had a rich broth that was deeply satisfying, the yakisoba noodles were cooked perfectly with the right balance of seasoning, and the lobster rangoon was a standout—crispy, creamy, and indulgent without being heavy. To finish, the macarons were the perfect sweet bite, delicate and delicious. It’s clear that everything is made with care and attention to detail.
What really made the experience memorable, though, was the owner herself. She is absolutely delightful! She came out to check on us personally, asked about our meals, and made sure we were happy with everything. From what we gathered, she and her husband run the restaurant together and prepare all of the food themselves. That level of dedication and personal involvement is rare these days, and it shows in both the quality of the dishes and the warmth of the service.
It’s not just about good food here—it’s about the whole experience. You can tell that One Sushi is a true labor of love, and dining there feels more like being welcomed into someone’s home than just visiting another restaurant.
If you’re in Atlanta and want authentic, delicious food with service that makes you feel cared for, I can’t recommend One Sushi enough. We left full, happy, and already talking about what we want to order next time. This is definitely going on our list...
Read moreThe reviews made this seem like it would the best sushi and service ever. Regretting our choice over the hibachi steakhouse. Maybe an off day?
Our server mumbled and the other barely spoke which made it difficult to know what was happening. We realized after water came he was asking for our drink order. Our table was set with one napkin and a pair of chopsticks. We ordered appetizers and drinks for 3 people. One meal came out before the appetizers, 10 minutes later one more meal and the appetizers came out. After waiting for the server to come back we had to ask for silverware and napkins. We received 2 more chopsticks. We stole a napkin from another table so we had 2 to share between the 3 of us. One meal was promised to be spicy which was not, but the server did say they would bring sauces. After waiting awhile we had to get up to ask for the hot tea we never received and the sauces.
Realizing sushi might take awhile, we were not wanting to complain but as we neared the end of the meal the server was wondering if the one of us who did not have a meal wanted more tempura veggies and said they would be on the house. The veggies were not good 6 barely cooked pieces for $13 is ridiculous. We did not want more. She let them know she was still waiting on her sushi. We think he realized he forgot it.
The food was decent but we just wanted it to come out in order. The table was really crowded with dishes and it was hard to eat things quickly so it would all be hot. Our server was outside talking to someone and we waited 20 minutes for the other to come to check out. I hope this is not the norm but wanted to give you guys the heads up. We will...
