Cook Out — Restaurant in Sanford

The food is consistent but the staff is awful. I've been to this location three times, that's about my limit. Being in the Foodservice industry myself, I know that there are days where nothing goes right, but when every visit is bad, there's a problem.

On my first visit here, I got home and realized the food in the box was not the food I ordered. Sure, I should have checked before I left. No big deal, but when I called to see if I could come back four what I ordered, I was told no by an employee and manager, because the receipt taped to the box was what I had ordered.

I did not return for a few months. When I did return I checked the food before driving away, it was cold. Wonderful.

My third and final trip was not particularly bad, but it left me questioning the overall staffing and training practices at this location. My order was very simple, although perhaps unusual: two pieces of grilled chicken. To receive those two pieces of grilled chicken I had to undergo a cartoonishly bizarre ordering process where I went back and forth with the person taking the order to get them to understand. Two pieces of grilled chicken, no, not two plain chicken sandwiches. No ma'am, not two orders of nuggets. No ma'am, not 2 sandwiches with only lettuce and cheese. If I could rate a -00000 I would!!! Everytime I come here they just throw my stuff together. Slow down and actually listen and prep peoples food and maybe yall would have a better rating. Stopped coming 2 years ago for this reason, decided they may be better by now but YOU CANT BE ANY BETTER BY just SLOPPING food together and handing it to people. If you don’t like working in fast food just say that!! Keep in mind I ordered TWO cheese bites for the side. This ain’t no TWO sides of it. TRY AGAIN!!! LOOK AT YALL REVIEWS AND PROPERLY HAVE A CONCERN AND LISTEN TO YOUR “Customers”!!!!!! AND NO IM NOT CALLING NO CORPORATE NUMBER. Do they get every order wrong? According to these comments they do! We went here the other night, and Anita (name on my receipt) gave me someone else's plate. Even though she repeated everything I ordered back to me and it was correct. I didn't realize this till I got home. I had to drive all the way back here and big lady there made me list everything I got again to make sure I wasn't lying. Turns out they had it sitting right there. I had to drive back just for them to tell me they had it sitting there? She didn't let me keep the wrong order for my trouble.That's the least you can do, and no apology is issued. Then the window was shut in my face. I'm almost certain they do that on purpose so they can take that free plate to their breaks because I know for a fact they don't throw it away. Either they keep it or they put it back on the grill to give it to someone else. That's disgusting! Health inspector needs to investigate! It seems the user Jo LAKE can back me up on this too.
