Surf N Wear's Beach House — Local services in Santa Barbara

Best (surf) shop in the area! We were staying practically next door from here and went in looking for a swimsuit. We ended up returning a few times to pick up cool t-shirts, sweatshirts and other gear, as well as some beach art for our daughter's bedroom.

Staff is very cool and helpful. Lots of different brands here and everything from shoes, to shorts, shirts, and shades! Lots of cool knick knacks as well - this store is HUGE. They also rent out boards but that's not my jam.

Of note is that they have a small selection of bottled beverages. You wouldn't think this is a big deal, but it is because you can't really find any convenience stores in the "Funk Zone". This is a very smart little convenience offered by this store.

Customer service needs to improve. I called ahead to make sure that the wetsuit that I wanted was available as it was a far drive for me to the shop. Though I was told that they had the make and model I wanted, when I arrived there was none. One of the staff said that they would look in the back. I waited a while for him to return and he never did so I went out to the counter and there he was involved doing something else. He then told me they did not have the wetsuit. Felt I was inconveniencing everyone working there. They still have so many good merchandise, so I bought more than planned. Well before closing, arrived before 6pm. It seemed they just wanted to not work the last couple hours. Which I get. I’ve worked jobs that are hard and wanting to leave in understandable. I just wasn’t that demanding. I actually needed 15 min w/o this guy telling me he didn’t appreciate how much I was trying on. I easily spent over 1000. It was going to be my go to.
