Appleseed Avenue — Local services in Santa Clarita

Election Day by Appleseed Avenue is a bold and refreshing take on escape rooms, blending crime-solving and even an autopsy into a whimsical puppet-filled world. It felt like stepping into an old-school CSI video game, scouring evidence, evaluating crime scenes, and piecing together clues to crack the case. With a generous 100-minute runtime, the game gave us plenty of time to immerse ourselves in the beautifully designed sets, which were so charming and full of personality that I didn’t want to leave. The humour was adorable, the characters were delightful, and we found ourselves laughing throughout the experience.

That said, I did wish there were more spaces to unlock as we progressed, as this could have created additional moments of surprise and adrenaline. Some of the gameplay leaned heavily on screen-based tasks, which, while appealing to some, made the pacing feel slower for me at times. There’s also an intriguing detective-room cabinet with numerous compartments that only opened a few times. This felt like a bit of a tease and is a missed opportunity for more interactive reveals. Still, these are small critiques of what is ultimately a creative and highly enjoyable escape room experience.

Appleseed Avenue Escape Room absolutely blew us away! The game design and storytelling are out of this world—truly one of a kind. The investigation mode in particular felt so refreshing and different from the usual escape room format, making it stand out in the best possible way.

The room is incredibly immersive, with well-crafted props and high production value that pull you straight into the story. Not surprising, since this gem was created by the founder of Evil Genius and Matt, the brilliant mind behind Arcane Escape Room—talk about a dream team!

We’ve played around 35 escape rooms, and this one easily ranks as our #1 favorite. Even though it’s a bit of a drive from Los Angeles, it’s absolutely worth every mile. And the best part? They’re opening a new room next year. We seriously can’t wait...

I recently got to play through this experience with my girlfriend and some friends.

This was WAYYY MORE FUN than I could've ever expected.

No spoilers here, but this thing is so immersive. The story, the characters, the environment. Absolutely insane level of detail.

All the puzzles are the perfect level of challenging. Not too over-the-top, not like a softball pitch. Ramps up nicely. Still takes some brain power.

And the feeling you get when you solve something... SO GOOD!
