Wuso Korean BBQ — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

Let me just start by saying we come here for the food. It's a good local spot in Santa Clarita for when you're craving KBBQ.

The food here is good, but the service seriously sucks. More often than not, when we're here, the staff ignores us, making it harder to order more food. Note that I don't mean every single server, if your lucky, you'll get a gem of a server who is attentive and helpful, but that's again, diamond in a rough with how often they change their staff.

This time, we weren't just ignored, but the waitress literally walked away from us mid sentence. Rude.

The main reason I am writing this review today is my concerns about sanitation.

I personally never thought too much about it when servers try to help us get the meat started on the grill or cook. But for this visit I noticed that our waitress added our meat with her hand, yes she was wearing a glove, but with the same gloves she was cleaning off tables, which made me wary. Not once did I see servers change out their gloves between serving and cleaning. Normally, I don't believe this would be an issue cause their hands shouldn't even be coming into contact with your food, and they usually should be using the tongs if they are assisting you.

My point here is that this is something to keep an eye out cause you don't want any cross-contamination with your food. They need to be actively changing their gloves regularly as they are touching many different dirty surfaces...

this is 3rd time i come and i am very disappointed there's new staff and we come to Korean BBQ we come to cook food OURSELVES. the meats all have onion on them the food isn't the same any more for some reason and we got asked total 3 times if we wanted them to cook the meats and we said no every time and the lady that took our order would come mix our meat with onion and take my girlfriends tongs from her and cook the meat that was very disrespectful from her and i was told we were being watched and then she came again saying we need to hurry up and cook the meat faster like she wasn't getting the hint we were annoyed and as we were about to leave i see another worker that was using all-purpose cleaner around the table which is fine but i saw the issue when she was spraying it at the grill pit that's toxic and dangerous. not only that the lady threw a fit cause we didn't leave a tip how can you expect a tip all you did was be annoying. they dismissed how we felt DATE NIGHT RUINED please save your self a headache and go to charcoal grill for a even better experience and not have the pressure of a worker breathing down your neck we wont ever come back here again and hope no else...

After reading some of the reviews and seeing some love and hate for the place I decided to roll the dice and see for myself. This place is fantastic! The servers and service was so fast and kind, our server was super friendly and very attentive. Side dishes came out quickly, the kimchi and pickled cucumbers are really good here. The menu has 3 levels of available meats and seafood with more options for a higher price, but the regular AYCE options have a lot more variety compared to some other locations. I recommend any of the spicy pork options, the marinade is really delicious! Definitely one of the best options nearby. And yes, they do help you cook the meat while your eating which I found very nice! They kept my meat from burning up and let me focus on the delicious meat 🤤 They also do add onions to most of the meat, which, if you've ever prepared meat at home, only enhances the flavor profile of BBQ meats, but if you have the palate of a child you can simply ask them not to...
