Absolutely horrible experience!
Nov 1/2020: Went online to their website to buy a fridge and made the order
Called on Nov 2/2020 to confirm order. Royce Smith, owner, stated he did not receive the order Online. Asked him if I could come in to his store to physically place the order and make payment. He stated this would be fine.
Drove to Appliances Unlimited on Nov 2nd, and Royce Smith said the fridge was in physically in stock as he checked to ensure the fridge box was there. I made the payment, signed his sales receipt form and set up the delivery date for Nov 5th. He asked me to call on Nov 4th to set up a time for delivery on Nov 5th.
Called on Nov 4th at 10 am to confirm and set up appointment time on Nov 5th. Royce Smith confirmed delivery for Nov 5th after 2:30 pm
Received a call from Royce at 3:45 on Nov 4th and he stated the fridge was not available for delivery as not in stock. I mentioned all of the above and he stated he couldn't do anything and asked for my credit card # to refund me my money. I did so and told him I would write negative reviews Online given my experience. He DID NOT offer to get another fridge in stock and stated he could call LG next week to see what he could do. I reminded him I had been without a fridge for over a week and no help at all.
I called my Credit Card company to inform them of the above and they stated they had similar experiences from previous customers about Appliances Unlimited.
Went to Bestbuy.com and got the same fridge for a lower price with delivery and delivery was only a few days later.
Went to the Appliances Unlimited website just to check if the fridge I ordered was available and it was! But, they increased the price by $500. Thus, Royce Smith lied to me. He wanted to make extra money and did not honor the purchase commitment.
I will write the same review on Yelp, BBB, and call CA Consumer Affairs to make a complaint!
Potential buyers, be weary of this business. I would recommend buying from Best Buy, Lowe's or Home Depot and avoid Royce Smith and Appliances Unlimited! Thank you

In no way did he ever state he could get me another fridge from his warehouse. He simply stated: a) he made a mistake, b) the fridge was unavailable, and c) asked me for my credit card for a refund. When I explained: I was without a fridge for about a week; that I made the order Online on his website; came in physically to ensure the fridge was available (which he also physically verified); made payment; confirmed the day before for delivery; and then received a call later in the day from him, less than 24 hours before delivery, that the fridge is now not available, he said he could do nothing! He then stated he could call LG NEXT WEEK. He was rude, blunt, inappropriate and in no way could he have made an error. I later checked his website and there was a $500 mark-up on the fridge and it showed that it was in stock. He was trying to make $500 and avoided honoring the signed sales receipt.
I have never experienced such disrespect from a merchant and have never remotely encountered such difficulty and hardship in making a purchase.
I am glad I called my credit card company to report the above. I will continue to report my experience with Royce Smith and Appliances Unlimited with Yelp, BBB, and other sites.
I would highly recommend prospective customers avoid him and his business and to use reputable merchants like Best Buy, Lowe's or Home Depot.

The moment I received the refrigerator, I noticed the doors weren't aligned and the right door wasn't square. It was defective, and it was noticeable.
