The drinks are very good. The service is excellent. The booths are a little tight and we are not big people. The food is pretty good, but super salty. I even asked for low salt. They did take my dinner back and remade it quickly, but still very salty 2nd visit, and last! The place was nearly empty, no wonder. The waitress was fantastic! The food, oh goodness. We started with the shrimp cocktail and then the bruschetta. The shrimp sauce was excellent. The bruschetta was kind of lame, not great bread, barely toasted and only okay topping. My husband ordered the Caesar salad, heavily dressed. I had the potato leek soup. A huge skin on the top! When did they plate that? My husband ordered the lobster ravioli, very goopy and not necessarily homemade. I had the panko crusted halibut and vegetables. Well I thought that I read the menu extremely carefully. I obviously didn't. The fish came covered in a sweet goopy sauce. I would never send it back because it was an expensive item on the menu. I scraped as much of the sauce off as possible. UPDATE: Thank you to the owner for reaching out and addressing the behavior of these disrespectful privledged racist women. Ive left the pictures attached because I feel this community deseves to know who these people really are. Delicious food, normally a great atmosphere, but yesterday afternoon our family was harassed while having dinner. There was a table of 3 couples, and the women clearly had too much to drink. Two of their husbands just walked out when the hateful, drunk women started acting up. They were belligerent, rude, hateful & disgusting. They started screaming and cursing at a child for laughing too loud. They were overly served, clearly intoxicated, and just needlessly mean and confrontational. I am very disappointed that the staff didn't do more to address the situation but rather continued to serve them more alcohol. One of the ladies actually followed us out and continued to harass us. If anyone knows these women, I hope they are embarrassed as they should be ashamed of themselves. Their behavior was uncalled for and...

This is the best place, not only in SCV, but in the greater Los Angeles area! Don't let the storefront entrance fool you, this place comes to you with the full fine dining experience complete with napkins placed in your laps upon seating, crumb scraper after courses, an aerated decanter for your bottle of wine if you want it, and service like you've never known. We've been coming here for years, and Patrick (the owner) is amazing! He remembers faces and personally takes time to check in at every table, doing wine service when appropriate, and being on top of simply everything! Best food at a restaurant I've ever had! I spend hours dreaming and salivating about the lobster bisque, and the bacon wrapped scallops are to die for!
