Canyon Country Farmers Market — Local services in Santa Clarita

I really wish I could support this farmers market more. But, unfortunately, I didn't have "money is no object" income and $4/pound is just to much. The produce is good, don't get me wrong but it's twice as much as the market...but I have to admit it's not twice as tasty. Like many, I have to stretch every food dollar as much as possible and I don't see the value in the farmers market. I'll indulge every once in a while but it's not my regular produce supplier by a long shot.

I don't disagree with hardly anything you said. I'm sure the inefficiencies you mentioned with the small scale farmer affect the register price. You mentioned you are occasionally cheaper than the supermarket. Can you give men an example?

I know they are doing their best and like I said, if money was no object then it would be a different story. I'm speaking to my own experience and my dollars go father at the market and I just settle for a product that I know is not "farmer's market" quality, but still...

I am thrilled to be able to go to a farmers market on Wednesdays! It’s such a great break in the week to stop by, see smiling and happy people, and get the freshest produce and the most delicious prepared foods-all from local farmers and vendors. I’m so grateful to have the Old Town Newhall Farmers Market on Saturdays, and now to have the Canyon Country Farmers Market on Wednesdays-with a combination of new vendors and farmers, gets me through the entire week with honest food in a fantastic location at the Canyon Country Community Center. I have been there couple times. Nice stroll, clean with nice playground and benches. My son tried the Watermelon juice and churros with Caramel. It was hot, the juice was refreshing and perfect. We all enjoyed it very much. My oldest tried the Cubano Sandwich. It was a hit. I tried the peach cobbler from Sisi cakes. I love it. Not overly sweet. You can taste the fruit. It was delicious. I went back and ordered the same thing twice. I recommend that you make time to stop there, you will not be disappointed and plus you are supporting local businesses. Win-win.
