I am a very responsible, 13-year-old girl. I haven't gotten trouble in public places ever before. Me and three of my other friends went to go see a movie which had all of our favorite YouTube stars in it. Because we were very excited and this day that we are seeing the movie was the first day it had came out, we ordered our tickets online. We didn't realize that the theater we bought our tickets for wasn't our typical theater that we normally go to. We drove across our valley to another city just to see this movie It took a while to convince our parents to drive us far away. But we knew it would be worth it so we convinced them. We found out at our arrival that the movie was sold out. We were so glad that we were able to buy the tickets online. two of my friends went into get seats while me and one of my other friends got popcorn and candy. Our friends texted us to let us know that this theater was packed. There were no seats. We didn't know that we weren't allowed to sit on the stairs so that's what we did. We had to because our parents told us to make sure we stay together. Safety first. About 15 minutes into the movie, we saw a worker walking towards us with a red light. I wish we had gotten his name, but we forgot to at the time. He came up to us and talk to us in a very rude and sassy manner. He told us that we couldn't sit on the stairs because it was a fire hazard. I totally understood this and was willing to find a seat. But I just wanted to make sure that I stayed with my friends because I couldn't disobey my parents' rules. We ask the worker what we should do since there were no seats together. He told us we either had to sit separately (which I would've gotten in trouble by my parents for) or leave and get our ticket refunded. Like I said earlier, we had driven a long way to get there and our parents couldn't come back to pick us up. We told the worker we didn't want our tickets refunded so he told us to leave without getting our money back. He was extremely rude and disrespectful. I am only a kid and I don't deserve to be talk to this way for not doing anything wrong. He wasn't even willing to help us in our situation and ask people to move over so that there could be seats next to each other. He also wouldn't help us find any seats and made us find them by ourselves. We ended up finding two couples of seats so me and my friends split in half and sat separately in a pair of two. We ended up being OK until later we saw the work or come back with someone of a higher position and looked for us to make sure we weren't still sitting on the stairs. This frustrated me very much because he was judging us and thinking that we wouldn't be responsible when really we were doing what he said even though it meant going against our parents' rules. The movie was very good and all of the workers at the food stands we're very kind. My whole entire night was ruined because of this one worker. I probably won't choose this theater the next time I want to go see a movie. If I could say something to this worker, I would ask him to apologize for his inappropriate and childish behavior. I hope this review helps you choose your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTL;DR - Dated theatre, and the app on your phone charges you a "convenience fee" to avoid using a similar app at the theatre itself. Otherwise, clean safe and enjoyable.
We wanted to watch a movie with the kids. Since the movie had been out for a few months and it was a matinee, we figured we wouldn't have too many people in the theatre enough to give it a go. I used the mobile app to check seat availability -- maybe three other parties tops. However, the mobile app was charging a lot of money as a "convenience fee" to buy the tickets. I'm cheap, so no thank you - I'll just buy them at the theatre. But when you arrive there, the box office is closed, with a sign to go inside and buy the tickets at concession. But the "ticket guard" instead points you to a kiosk inside the theatre (basically the same mobile app, without the fee). That was disappointing; I still have to do the button pushing, so where's the convenience (aside from getting my seats earlier). Moving on... The theatre looks like what a pre-COVID theatre would look like on a weekday in the morning: clean but sparsely populated. The arcade was roped off and the machines turned off. Only 1 person at concessions, and not as many supplies or food out for display. It looked retro - but this theatre is older than the one at the mall. Aside from that, it was the regular theatre experience. The popcorn was fresh, over salty and over buttered - just like I remember. People were wearing masks and there were sanitizers near the doors, so if that's a concern for you, at least there's that. I would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis could be a great place again, but not with the current young lady as the manager... Wow, anybody but her... The ticket checker position is left unmanned and has a sign to goto concession counter to have your tickets torn... Well we use the app and need ours scanned... The scanner is within reach of the concessions personnel and yet they can't seem to figure out what to do... This was the second time in a row this has happened and so the manager who also was right there... Said "let me find the thing" to which I pointed and said it's right there... And she with her snyde look and rude tone scoffs at us and says "just let me find it ok, be patient!"... Excuse the heck out of me for trying to keep her from running all over the place... She came back with one on a stand that looked exactly like the other one and I asked if the other one was broken... She said very sternly "NO! I just, can't find it!" to which I again pointed at it and told her I've been trying to tell you it's right there... Only to have her continue with her snotty attitude about how she's just trying to help... This rubs off on her employees who have been treating questions from others with attitudes... What happened to make her so bitter... Don't let our once great place for movies become bitter... We have sworn it off and just goto the other location which is a drive instead of a walk... The Edward's 12, they still have great and...
