DeMejico — Local services in Santa Clarita

First, the furniture at DeMejico is beautiful - great craftsmanship and although the prices are a bit high, the quality of the pieces are worth it. For that I would give 5 stars. However, DeMejico's customer service is severely lacking. Hence, the one star. I placed an order for a custom piece of furniture and mirror in May 2022. I was told it would take 12-14 weeks for delivery. Apparently there were delays, which considering supply issues and the pandemic, is understandable. What is NOT understandable is the lack of communication from Eddy and DeMejico. I called, left messages, emailed and even physically went to the store to try to get at least an approximation of when my order would arrive. Finally, in November 2022, I received the furniture but not the mirror. It is now mid-January 2023 and I'm still without the mirror and no answers as to when/if I will receive it. I have again left numerous messages for Eddy and have emailed him to no avail. My advice is if you like something DeMejico has in stock and you can take it immediately, you won't be disappointed. But if you want a custom order, know that you will not be apprised of any issues and must constantly be in contact with DeMejico (even though you won't be get any answers)- just to make them realize you are...

De Mejico is outstanding. I live in Alabama and found the coffee table I was looking for in their online catalog. It was a custom order for us, and I was initially a little wary about ordering from a small outfit I'd just found online. Our decorator and I called and spoke with them, and Maria was super helpful and competent. We decided to go ahead with it and are so happy with the results. Our mesquite coffee table looks fantastic -- it's the nicest piece of furniture in the living room, and came out even better than I was expecting. It is very sturdily built (and really heavy), and the quality of the craftsmanship is really high. Maria was communicative throughout, and sent us samples of stained mesquite wood to make sure we got the color right, and we got a custom order sheet with all the details to sign off on. As a General Contractor for 40 years has to be the worst experience. Waited 15 weeks for a custom bath vanity and matching mirror. The only thing done correctly was the hardware. Custom size was to be 66" they made almost 68". Color was not even close to what was ordered. Mirror stained wrong color without checking in or getting my approval. Resolution offered. Wait another 15 weeks to remake. OR take as is and they would pay for shipping to Santa Fe New Mexico. They should have given it for what had been paid due to not only their screw up, but now my inconvenience.

HORRIBLE customer service and obviously HORRIBLE or NO quality control before leaving Mexico. Cudos to all of their clients who received what they ordered. This ex client will never buy...
