We went to this place to try the Poke bowl after seeing it on Yelp. To our surprise, the Poke bowl cost $13.95 which I thought was ridiculous so I didn't end up ordering it. I ordered the 2 fish tacos with Mahi Mahi instead.
The tacos were good but nothing special to write about. My wife and daughter ordered the Tuna salad and the Tuna bowl. They both liked it and said it was good. We also ordered the calamari and a couple of ice teas.
When we got our bill, we were surprised it came out to almost $54. The ice teas that came in a bottle and cans, were $3.50 each. You can probably buy a 6-pack for that much.
Overall, the restaurant was nice and the service was great. For the price of the food we paid, we could have went to Kabuki Japanese restaurant and had a great variety of sushi to...
Read moreLet me start off with the hospitality here! I loved the guys. So welcoming, so knowledgeable and overall so inviting. It literally felt like I was just casually having lunch at their house. Beyond the friendliness, I'd also like to mention that the food is amazing. The flavors are exceptional, the ingredients are very fresh and perfectly cooked. (Thank you chef!) He took time to explain the components of our meal and how everything came to be and why which just added a little extra to my meal. The drinks were great. A guava one I got was delicious! The portions were satisfying and even my kids all left extremely satisfied. Great meal. I will be coming back when in the...
Read moreI’ve determined that “restaurant style” poke is not for me and need to go to a place where I can design the bowl myself. I stopped in here because my favorite, Hummus Republic was closed. I ordered a bowl that had avocado topped with spicy mayo and requested light mayo. I would hate to see what it look like if I didn’t order light mayo because the food was so doused in mayo that is was almost inedible. It took four napkins to wipe off the excess mayo and it was still doused in the bowl, mostly inedible. What I was able to salvage of the fish did taste fresh but lumpy brown rice. No thanks, at least to...
