Yesterday I stopped in impromptu at Riverside Lighting/Electric and was pleasantly greeted by Dan! I explained to him that I had an unusual request - I brought in an old, sentimental lamp (handed down from my Mom) - please note that the lamp had NOT been purchased at Riverside. The reason for my visit - I was having trouble inserting the bulb, which I had ordered online, into the special Lamp fixture. Dan immediately engaged and said no problem, let me see how I can help you! Within a matter of 15 seconds, he sized up the situ and installed the tricky bulb which lit up beautifully! The people that work and manage this store are some of the most inconsiderate and unhelpful people if you get on their nerves. They encourage you to ask questions, but get upset when you ask them. I cannot understand why they still work there if they all seem to hate their job so much. On top of that, all of the merchandise and products that they sell are marked up to a price that is just unreasonable, for no reason except to exploit their customers. Asked for a replacement switch for a Casablanca fan and after one younger salesperson said "I'll see", another older bad tempered salesperson said, "they don't make those any more", and "we can't order the upgrade. you have to send the whole fan to the factory to be re-configured !
