Let me start with when ever I go to mythic, there are people smoking pot right out front often & people who smell like pot in the game shop OFTEN! . None of that is an issue for me and doesn’t bother me. I brought my friend that’s getting back into magic to the shop. This said friend smelled a little like pot and the owner kicked him out of the shop after he spent almost a $100 in the store!!!! I understand an over whelming smell, but the owner(older dude in the glasses) didn’t even give him a chance to loose the smell off his clothes. My friend being the respectful guy he is, accepted what he was told and tried to shake the owners hand, saying “all right thank you for taking me to the side instead of making a scene in the game room” and attempted. Came here looking to trade and get new Magic The Gathering cards. Had a wonderful experience, the staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and provided invaluable guidance when it comes to trading our own cards. Being new to this, the experience has left us feeling welcome and wiser. The card selection itself was larger than its sister store in Monterey, and even though the cards from more recent sets were more scarce (due to Covid reasons, the selection was naturally lesser as there was less people visiting the store) we still found a great deal of what we were looking for.
