Warehouse Direct Flooring Outlet — Local services in Santa Cruz

Avoid using Warehouse Direct outlet if you expect professionalism, value and communication back with question/issues. I definitely had the worst experience using this company. They're very friendly initially while taking your money but after that, there's no response. I worked with Tim Donohue who never returned any calls, emails, text messages even after 5 to 6 weeks. I requested a call back from the owner and never received that either. Made another call and had Dan come out for an estimate. He wanted to charge me to install flooring for 520 ft.² even though my project is structurally 380 ft.² (not the extra product that is purchased as damaged collateral, but the actual square footage charged for the space to have flooring installed). He stated that that is just the way they do things because they have to open the boxes and lay down a new piece when the installers break the product. What a joke! I was just about to head down the following day to return all the flooring material that I had bought from them when I found a very professional licensed flooring company which did a tremendous job and charged me appropriately for 380 square feet to install the flooring.

Well, about five minutes after posting this review Dan from Warehouse Direct called me and after I told him I didn't want to talk to him he continued to call me two more times. About 15 minutes later, I coincidentally had my name, email and phone number placed with a false ad on craigslist so that people would call me. The Ad was easy to flag and have removed, quite a coincidence! "Someone" also contacted Real Estate companies using my personal info stating I wanted to sell my house. I wrote a review of Warehouse Direct back in 2010 and gave them 5 stars. (My original review is on Yelp- and is too long to fit in a Google review! And Lou's company name was slightly different back then). But I want to do an update on how great it is to deal with Lou Versman 15 years later! We needed to source a 5' piece of santos mahogany molding matching the hardwood that Lou's team had installed in 2010, to put down beside a new shower that we installed recently, . After no luck finding a supplier, I called Lou to ask where he had sourced the trim pieces he used in 2010. Lou thought that he might have a piece that would do the job in his "boneyard". To our delight, Lou found one, and personally delivered it to us in Sunnyvale this week. You can't ask for better post-sales support than this!
