Java junction on Seabright is always on point. I had to run errands with my 5 year old and was in the area so I stopped in to get a coffee and sandwich. There was only one other person in the store that ordered in front of me. Everything at first seemed normal. I ordered my drink and food. The coffee came out quick and was good. I ordered a peanut butter and jelly and a Turkey cranberry sandwich. That’s when I realized what I was getting myself into. Just another Santa Cruz poor service location. 3 employees standing around talking about how wasted they got and using profanity in their conversation in front of my 5 year old ad she’s waiting for her peanut butter and jelly. I leaned more about their drunken night then I cared too. Mind you I was the only one in the stores 20 minutes later I had to stand up and stair at them to give them the hint I was waiting. One of the employees asked If I needed something or if I was waiting. I replied “oh ya I’m waiting for something”. They finally decided to stop talking to get out sandwiches made. When we got them the bread was very dry. Not sure if it was from sitting out so long as they attempted to work. I don’t get why these restaurants pay people to socialize and ignore customers. How do you even stay in business? Plus don’t bring your kids there unless you want them to ask you what the F word means, or Dad...
Read moreWent in and ordered a burrito and a drink. I asked to use the restroom and the counter girl said it’s not available. I asked “like locked?” And I asked May I ask why customers can not use the restroom in a food service establishment? The other girl making drinks said because there has been two experiences where there has been arsonists and we don’t want to risk it. I said oh ok... the entire time my son was in there (he is one) he pushed a stool across the floor TWICE and I put it back and told him to stop. Then I am assuming whom I would think is the manager yelled can you tell your child to stop that! It’s loud!! My husband and I said excuse me he is a baby! They sad that not our problem, we did not tell you to have kids! Is like WTF did I just walk into!? Then after arguing with them and demanding a refund. She threw the money at me! Then I walked outside went next door and called another location to ask if I could speak to the owner of Java. The girl who threw my refund and told us to leave Came out and heard me, laughed and threw her hands up. I don’t know about u , but I am horrified at the staff as well as unless you want to fight someone you don’t throw your hands up at someone. Also one of your staff was smoking a cigarette out front. Completely disgusting!! I will say the other two places and their staff are more...
Read moreAh The mighty Java Junction where do I start, the coffee I suppose. The coffee is not what I call special in any way it is good.,where they excel at is their expresso drinks. Some are offered only at certain times of the year ,holidays in particular but there are at least a half dozen offered year round a lot of chocolate and yum yums for the chocoholic in all of us.They offer a decent variety of sandwiches which are excellent despite the fact only sour dough ,and wheat are the only bread choices .They have a nice selection of bagels and cream cheeses, but the smoked salmon has no flavor I'm going to be brutal on this one's is not a true smoked salmon. They also carry some sodas, bottled h20, Gatorade and fruit and yogurt parfait. Oh yeah some primo Oatmeal, and cookies. The staff are consistently very professional and friendly they learn the names of the regulars and make an effort to chat with you when they can. The manager is very good at her job never stopping it seems for a moment she is very good at getting.the most out of her staff without being a witch. The business itself is kept very clean there is also outside seating on a patio.I say get in there for a double mocha and a pastrie right now,you...
