Staff are ABUSIVE - never again||Woken up by screaming….||||It’s 2 o’clock in the morning. I was awoken by bloodcurdling screams that went on and on and on and on. 5 minutes at least||||They woke me up through a white noise machine and earplugs||||I was absolutely terrified ||They sounded like the screams of a child or woman that literally would not stop ||||A called down to the desk Rachel picks up. ||||She’s very curt with me and says that||“ it’s a father and their child - he took the child into the car so that they will not disturb people”||||I’m sorry, but that’s weird as hell and what a weird thing to say at 2 o’clock in the morning ||||My brother works for child protective services and I’m well aware of what happens in cheap hotel rooms across the country ||||It’s 2 AM. Does that sound like something A father would do ? Leave the comfort of a hotel room to Drag a child through a parking lot and sit in his car??||||Because that sounds fishy and I know the amount of sex trafficking and child trafficking that happens in Santa Cruz County||||I asked Rachel how do you know that they’re related? I literally simply asked. How do you know that she doesn’t need help||||This is a very sane, straightforward question that anyone could answer after listening to a child scream like that||||That was not a normal Scream||That was bloodcurdling, and it went on and on and on and on at the top of her little lungs||||Waiting for a answer from a woman who’s actually thought about this…|||| Because she’s telling me basically go back to bed it’s fine. I asked POLITELY, it was obvious I was asking because I was concerned||||||||Instead, she literally starts YELLING at me and hangs up the phone||||A call back again - I’m in disbelief that staff at a hotel would act this way ||||Staff that 1, should be trained and handling guests politely||||And 2 Should absolutely have some awareness about human trafficking. You work at a motel, honey.||||When I called back, I simply asked||I said do you understand why I’m concerned? Do you understand that children are traffic all the time right? ||||Again, I was polite, I was genuinely ShakeN||||She doesn’t even take a breath ||She starts YELLING at me again and hangs up the phone ||||Now I feel like something even weirder is going on and I’m even more disturbed. ||||She has not given any explanation why she thinks what just happened is perfectly OK, ||||Given that she’s hanging up at me on me and yelling at me she does not come off as a rational, sane person able to make this type of assessment ||||I call back after giving her a couple moments to calm down, though I don’t understand why she’s freaking out at me in the first place ||||The entire things feels incredibly weird incredibly fishy ||||When call back again and she says I’m on the phone with my manager right now. What room are you in? Keep in mind it’s 2AM||||I am dumbfounded ||||She informed me that she wants to KICK ME out of the hotel ||||||||I’ve done absolutely NOTHING but be a sane, healthy, rational person having a sane, healthy, rational response to listening to bloodcurdling screams at 2 o’clock in the morning. Read moreWe used to stay at this hotel somewhat regularly from 2016-2019. During that time period the hotel was clean, staff was professional, courteous and very welcoming and friendly. This time the hotel was quite the opposite. We were made to feel like a burden or inconvenience. Room and amenities were in dire need of repairs, cleaning and updating. The evening front end manager did come around and was helpful and polite and tried to be of service. However the day manager was so dismissive, rude, short and made us feel like we were disturbing him.My wife is pregnant and we had our 4 year old daughter with us and we asked for an early check in if possible and we were told absolutely not the cleaning staff hadn't even started cleaning the room yet because the previous guests were given a late check out of 1pm. When I I asked for a late check out I was told 12 is the absolute latest event though he told me the previous guest was granted a 1pm check out. The cleaning staff were all very nice except for one male staff member who asked how much longer we would be and when I told him 45 minutes he became very annoyed and made us feel like we were supposed to be on his schedule instead of on our vacation. He actually became so annoyed that he literally opened the door without knocking and motioned for us to hurry up. My wife was also standing in front of the mirror in her bra and underwear. This employee was so rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. Inside the room the bathroom and toilets were dirty and the wall sockets were broken and recessed into the wall. The bathtub did not have a drain plug, the shower faucet was broken as was the bathroom faucet. You could not adjust the water temperature or shut it off without playing with it for minutes at a time. It also leaked all over the counter. Breakfast area was filthy! Food was cold and inedible. The chairs in the breakfast area were so in need of replacement that they were literally shredding apart and the material was sticking to our clothing.
