I had an amazing morning paddle boarding with the Poseidon Paddle & Surf team! The team consisted of owners Christian & Matt and instructor, Joe. I was part of a group lesson. Paddle boards and wet suits are supplied or you can bring your own. Whether you have some experience or are brand new to paddle boarding, the team at Poseidon helps you learn the basics as well as gives you insights into how to paddle best. They are with you all the way from getting on the board to journeying across the ocean and ultimately getting off your board safely once you get back to shore. It can be intimidating to paddle board but the team made me feel at ease and confident in my skills and were with me all the way. Excellent in every respect, very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We were vacationing in Santa Monica and I was attracted to the cool and professional environment. I asked the owner Christian if my two sons, ages 16 and 20 could take surf lessons. They both had only had lessons twice in their life (we are from the Boston area). They surfed with one of his instructors the next morning while I enjoyed an excellent Latte’ that Christian prepared gratis. They both had an excellent experience and both got up and looked quite smooth thanks to the excellent instruction and equipment.

We vacationed to Santa Monica this summer and booked a 2 hour “Santa Monica surf lesson” for July 9th at Poseidon Surf Shop near the pier. For a family of Far Eastern tourists who had never experienced surfing before, this was an exciting, enjoyable and fulfilling experience, especially under the full control of the instructor, everyone felt completely taken care of and safe.
