There was a small incident during the trip. When I just left Santa Monica and arrived in Los Angeles, Google Maps reminded me that there was a gunfight in Santa Monica, where I had just left. The police blocked the area and a police officer was injured. Just when I was glad that I had escaped a disaster, the TV news reported that the police had caught the fugitive. It was really a thrilling and magical journey, just like a TV show. I really hope that the public security in Los Angeles can be taken seriously and properly resolved by the local government.

Best kept secret for a quick visit to the beach and pier! It’s a $2 for 2 hours! We had time to visit the beach and walk the whole pier and the lunch! Lot was half full at 11am on. Tuesday morning. 1 min walk to the pier ! Location is next to the Hot-dog Shack. See my video that was filmed from the pier stairs.

We chose this parking lot based on reviews claiming the first 90 minutes were free. However, upon arrival, we discovered it actually costs $15 per car for the entire day, with no free 90-minute option. Fortunately, if you turn left, there's a smaller parking lot that charges $1 per hour. It's about a 5-minute walk to the Santa Monica Pier and just a 2-minute walk from the more expensive lot.
