I parked in the lot underneath the Rand Corporation when I attended the American Film Market 2023 that was nearby at Le Meridian Delafina Hotel because it was well lit and I felt my car would be safe and secure there. Parking was about $20 for most of the day (they charge hourly) vs. an outrageous $54 or $57/day at the hotel! (BTW it's right next door to the Santa Monica Civic Center, but their parking lot was not as well lit and felt...

The irony here is that we are given the illusion that this is an institution of higher education. You couldn't get in here even if you sold your soul and those of your family... You see the cast has already been placed. This is a think tank corporation that has its origins in the notion that you need elite thinkers to oversee the minions. It's sad to see Santa Monica...
