First I want to start that Seaside is a very special place as it was where my wife and I got engaged. It had been 9 years and I wanted to run in and get a shirt for me and matching shirts for my 2 boys. Do not recommend this place due to poor customer service. I was passing thru Seaside on Tuesday 4/23. I was rushing trying to get there as it was 645-650. I pulled up with my wife and 3 kids under 5 trying to find a parking spot. It was a very busy evening and it was almost 7 so I jumped out leaving my kids in car with my wife to get to the door at 7 and it was already locked with at least 15 customers still looking around in the store. Not checking out but still shopping. A gentleman came to the door to open it for a customer who had paid. I asked if I could run in and get some shirts real fast. His response was “ummm nope” and shut the door and locked it with many people still looking around. Looked down at my watch and it was 7:01. I do not recommend due to poor customer service and being turned away on what appeared to be a very busy evening. I would have understood if they were dead and no one was in there, but this...
Read moreI am only giving a star because none was not an option. And looking at the reviews I see the the general opinion is consistent with the lack of customer care and condescending attitude. We’ve been coming to Seaside for so long, so we simply love the place. Getting swag with Seaside logo just makes it for even better memories. But this time, after staying in line to get into the store and in another looong line to pay, when there was my turn to check out, these two so called “ladies” just cut the line with an attitude stating there are two registers. Everyone was coming from one big line, but they decided they are better. The cashier literally disregarded me standing there and patiently waiting for my turn just to laugh with the others two and make fun of all these people staying in one line. She didn’t even look my way or apologized, she ridiculed more than 30 people in the line to serve the two deciding the line was not for them. It was such a humiliating experience to be laughed at for being respectful. I guess this is the “style” of the store. Very disrespectful experience...
Read moreI typically don't write negative reviews, but this situation deserves some attention. While passing thru Seaside with my family we all decided to get sweatshirts as my daughter fell in love with the style. I am a big framed guy and could not fit into a 2XL sweatshirt - my fault, not yours. However upon my wife asking the 3 clerks standing at the VERY BUSY counter if they had a 3XL, the male clerk quickly looked at me, chuckled and said for all to hear in the line "We have NOTHING here that will fit you!" TWO of the women in line were so appauled that they set her merchandise down and walked out.
What you don't know sir is that at one time in my life I was MUCH bigger and have worked darn hard to get where I am today. It is so sad that a comment like that still slaps me in the face as a grown adult, and one who has struggled with weight my entire life. I suggest you hang signs on your doors to inform people that aren't normal sized to not waste time coming in your store, because their business is not needed simply because you have "NOTHING that...
