We decided to stop at shrimp shack as everything was busy everywhere else. Ordering online was simple and easy. Food was prepped and ready to pickup quickly.

We ordered gumbo, 1 lb of cocktail shrimp and the blackened shrimp tacos.

Upon arrival it was extremely hectic as this area is full of pedestrians especially around the time the day after memorial day.

The worst offense was what appeared to be vomit near the trash can. I understand accidents can happen especially with volumes of people around but this needs to be cleaned asap. Luckily for us we were not dining in and were taking our food back to the house.

The gumbo was pretty good and was pleasantly seasoned. The cocktail shrimp was a little strange considering some shrimp were mushy and very salty and other shrimp were turgid and strong shells. I feel like this can be explained in two ways, either 1- the shrimp were sitting around for a while, or 2- the vendor that supplies the shrimp had a bad batch.

I wasn't too dissapointed with the inconsistent shrimp as it was still pretty good with the cocktail sauce and lemon.

As for the shrimp tacos - my wife was not a fan as they absolutely loaded it with the crema which tastes similiar to miracle whip with raw onion juice. We understand that shrimp and lobster rolls typically have quite a bit of mayo but this was crazy thick with the mayo.

Luckily you can scrape that off, but if I were to recommend any food for value I would stick with the chilled shrimp or the surpringly good gumbo.

In totality I would stop here in a pinch, but under this one expierence I wouldn't make an effort to visit. I believe that all establishments deserve a second chance so I wouldn't write it off, but at this moment we will pass...

Hi guys, maybe it’s my fault for going to a sandwich shop that charges $22 for a lobster roll but after paying up front plus 20% tip, food never came . I went back after 20 minutes for a friendly reminder. Then another 10 mins of waiting and was curious what could possibly go wrong? I mean... my wife, who is not easy to mistake, paid the money but no food after 30 mins. I get that mistakes happen although this place isn’t that big. It’s not rocket science. If you don’t get the sandwich to the customer in 27 minutes then take some responsibility and quit blaming “the system”.

I think I was understandably annoyed and asked the manager what happened. He hemmed and hawed for a while but never said they messed up. It was stunning. The manager came up with (let me be polite) some funny or silly excuses. The system. The quantity of business they run. The years of experience, etc. All of it embarrassingly spineless.

If someone does business with you, do right by them. If they respect you with that then respect them back. It shouldn’t be difficult.

I invite the management/ownership to respond. They won’t dispute that this happened.

In their defense, the $22 lobster sandwich was delivered after a half hour but it required two inquiries and a bunch of unnecessary hemming and hawing from a manager who couldn’t or wouldn’t say that they messed up.

Just skip this place and go next door where they’ll give you what you pay for... the old...

This is literally my first review I’ve ever written... NEVER have I been more embarrassed & treated so poorly by anyone in the service industry! We have been very good customers of this place for over 8 years, as we are homeowners in the community. I came with my daughter. I ordered a dozen oysters, and a shrimp roll to share with my daughter. I also ordered a lemonade. When we got to the counter to pay, I realized my CC was missing. Flustered & trying to figure out where my card is, and which card to use since they didn’t accept AmX, I did find a card they accepted. Still not knowing where my main card is. They brought our food and the order was wrong. They brought out a lobster roll with the other food. I went to tell them it was wrong, and the “assistant” manager refused to refund my money, and smirked consistently as he argued saying I was wrong. I told him this was THE worst customer service I’ve ever received - especially in the south in the this area! He brought out the lemonade where he CONTINUED to try to argue with me about the issue in front of everyone! I literally had to tell him to go away!!! He walked away laughing!!!! I’m appauld and will NEVER return to this...

I ordered the lobster roll online for a dinner pickup. I arrived early, parking wasn't terrible. My food came out almost right on time (if not on time). They were not busy at 6:00p.m. I ordered water and white wine and took my food to the beach lookout. I saw a comment or two about the bread not being soft but mine was really soft. Similar to a less garlicky Texas toast bread. It came with a side of butter and I got a side of chips. It was really filling though some of it might be the bread. For $42 (lobster roll only) I thought it to be a little expensive considering full entree meals run you that other places but it was an experience, somewhere new, hadn't had a lobster roll before, and it was good so I'm not too mad at the price. I enjoyed my wine, my lobster and my view. I'd definitely go back and try other menu items.

Agreed. Run from this place. Waste of money. Th grocery store has much better food than the restaurants at Seaside. Been coming to Seaside for years and the quality of food has taken a nosedive. Save your money at Publix and grill out. This is what you get for the lobster roll at Shrimp shack. While it appears it be a lot of lobster meat, it's basically a hot dog bun soaked in butter with a piece of lettuce. So sad. Will not be a return customer and I hope others heed this advice. If Linda Miller, still runs these joints, you have a lot of work to do.

Shrimp shack was my new favorite 30A hangout! The newly added bar served my favorite drink, ‘Out of Office.’ Over the course of my stay I enjoyed the lobster roll, Cesar salad w/grilled chicken, gumbo and fresh peel n eat shrimp. They were all satisfying and flavorful. Bartenders are friendly and attentive or guests were cheerful, probably because the drinks and food are so yummy plus they have cold air blasting right on you!
