The Art of Simple — Local services in Santa Rosa Beach

My wife and I love to shop local and could not stop oohing and aahing over all of the unique pieces at The Art of Simple. From home goods and decor to beauty products, there is a wide selection of items at varying price points. We purchased a beautiful vase, deliciously smelling candle and large decorative pillow that will go perfectly at our new condo on the lake. I’m shocked at the negative reviews regarding the staff. Our experience was the exact antithesis both times my wife and I shopped here. We purchased the vase before going to dinner and the staff was kind enough to offer shipping or hold it so that we could pick it up the next day when we were headed home. We never felt like the staff was hovering over us. They were extremely friendly and helpful throughout both shopping experiences. Do bother. The sales people will follow you around as if you are going to steal or break something. I had my hands to my side and I kept catching the lady sales rep looking at my hands. I had my older kid with me who is well behaved and knows not to touch anything without me and the rep started to follow us. There are signs all over that say, do not touch, do not open, do not this.. do not that .. do not....do not.... do not ... !!! And the blatant "Amazon - is not shopping small- support Small Business" sign.... Geeze we know!

I would love to support Small business and often do when possible but I won't support RUDE small businesses. It's places like this that just drive me to take a photo or remember the item and then just order it on Amazon, hassle free...

Sammi (hope that’s spelled right) was incredibly kind & helpful. My husband & I first discovered this store in 2020 during our first trip to seaside. This time we had our 2-year-old with us & the they were SO friendly to him. I was looking for pieces in a specific space & walked out empty handed (took a couple photos to sleep on it). The next day we walked back in & she remembered us & had a few items to show me because she thought of them after we left. Above & beyond customer service! As a retail store owner I appreciate that high level service & will continue to be a repeat customer anytime I’m in seaside....
