WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER. Went to purchase a headset, using a 'gift card' I received when selling my Xbox 360. Apparently that is different than a 'gift card' (so make sure to specify or the manager will definitely correct you.) Could not open headset to make sure input was correct before purchasing, and was advised if I did, they could only return as a 'sold' item. Went to complete transaction when the manager decided to say "Calm down" when my card did not pull up. This is when I was advised "OH, you didn't say this was a trade-in card..."
Well excuse me. This is the EXACT reason all of their brick & mortar stores are closing. You want me to spend $90, without being able to verify this is the correct headset, and if was purchased wrong I can only return as an open or used item? Therefore giving you authority to only refund part of my money?? I was even going to purchase a controller I knew was compatible with my system, but after in encountering such a rude response, I decided to us my giftcard online, as I did not want to support a local business, who could have very easily let me double check the product I wished to buy, but would not allow this option.
That's you Gamestop for turning down a $100 + transaction! If said 'manager' would have let me verify the headset I wanted, even if it had been the wrong headset, I would have happily spent my money for the correct headset. THIS IS THE REASON everyone prefers online shopping, as I do not have to deal with the bulls**t that your employees bring...
Read moreThis is the best Game Stop I have ever shopped. And with two sons and an ex husband that was military, I have been in many Game Stop stores. Chad, the manager, has impressed me so much with his supervisory skills that I've tried to get him to come work with me. Which, he would not even consider because he's extremely loyal. The rest of the staff is always very friendly and helpful, too. The store is always neatly organized and I always find exactly what I want within minutes of entering the store. I could go on and on with...
Read moreStood in line for a TCG release and was blatantly skipped when the employee was handing out tickets for the product. I was bypassed and the ticket was given to the person behind me when I was obviously in front of the other person with my hand raised. Spoke up and asked the employee how I was skipped and he responded that the tickets were already handed out. This is completely unfair especially considering the time and effort to fairly secure my spot in the line. The person behind me was obviously friends with...
