Hi: My experience at the Sarasota Lakewood ranch location, was horrible. As a manager myself i do understand how important is to provided the best customer service possible, what we got was completely opposite of that. It was friday night and we arrived early to but the tickets and make sure we were the first people there. We did exactly that the movie started at 7:50pm, we were there waiting at 7:00pm. We approached the clerk at the lobby, which he checked out tickets and told us we could go in and wait in front of the door. We were there standing and talking for about 25mnts, the employees walked around us, saw us there, nobody said anything to us. Suddenly the manager came and said that we have to wait outside in line, we said ok, but we were here first, he said you need to go in the back of the line that by this time it was 45 people. We tried again to explained him that when we arrived there wasnt any line and that his clerk told us to wait inside. The clerk even agreed with us and told us that he wast inform that we had to wait outside. The manager said well i can give u the money back and u can leave. We were schocked...they made a mistake and the way he handle it was to through us out of the movies in front of everybody else, We couldnt believe it, His name was mike, and he was the worst manager i have ever deal with. We were paying for their mistake, he ruined our night, we had to leave and go to another showing because he didnt want to accept his fault or his employees fault. We got the money back, he kept being rude to us, please watch the cameras and see what happens...we were never notified or was either a line when we got there...this is not the customer service we...
Read moreOn October 25th I purchased tickets for Wild Robot with my 2 year old granddaughter at the Lakewood Ranch cinema. Suffice it to say, LWR Main Street was having an event and there was absolutely NO PARKING. After driving around 45 minutes and calling Fandango BEFORE the movie start time, Fandango refused to give me a refund because it took them beyond the movie start time to take me off hold and tend to my call. I then left a message for Renee Baggott, President and CFO regarding a request for refund or credit. No response. Today, I follow-up with Renee and SURPRISE they can't do anything about it. They don't control the parking spaces, they don't control the events and they will not issue a refund, so in short, before choosing to use Fandango OR see a movie at Sarasota Film Society's Lakewood Ranch Cinema, do yourself a favor and don't unless you absolutely know that LWR Main Street is not having any type of event and you really just have to go to LWR because neither Fandango, NOR the Sarasota Film Society care about its customers nor their hard earned monies they choose to spend via the Fandango app or at the cinema. After a disappointed granddaughter and a loss of $24.00, this cinema will never be an option for me or my family. Guess the theaters haven't been hurt hard enough that keeping customers happy is of no interest and donating to the Sarasota Film Society is worthless when they so flippantly keep money from patrons for unused services at no fault of...
