During the pandemic: I'm surprised that masks are only "strongly recommended." I get that the kids can't wear masks, and many older kids (12+) and adults hopefully already got their full course of the vaccine ... But vaccinated people can still get sick from the Delta Variant. Since the younger swimmers can't wear masks ... I wish the school would require them for everyone else ... That would at least reduce the amount of potential Covid-19 particles from roaming through the school. (It's tragic seeing twice as many kids getting hospitalized this August 2021 as there were last fall - when it was worse) ... We might need to pull out kiddo out of the 2 kid class because they're SO close to each other (even while the rest of the pool is wide open ... It's a shame they can't just use the empty lane next to his class, too). The kids end up doing a lot of hard breathing because of the work out. At least the staff all wear masks and shields. ... I just wish the business wanted to protect their staff and patrons more by requiring masks by all non-swimmers, ... Which is what I thought it said in an email I got from the business last week.
Not related to Covid-19: It's really expensive. However, my kiddo had 10 previous private lessons through an independent instructor, and he's far more comfortable in this environment in two days than he was the whole time with the other instructor. If it were not a pandemic, I would recommend everyone with a hesitant kiddo to try the school. Fun structured lessons for kiddos that make the time just fly by for kids and parents alike.
I love the swimsuit spinner that gets all the water out of them.

Read moreFoss swim school has been great for my child now that he is a little older (3). The water is warm and the instructors have been great. They are very welcoming to listening to concerns and issues your child has had. We originally brought our child in at 10 months and unfortunately he did not like having his head dunked in which they did every lesson. We changed instructors due to the fact our child cried as he feared being dunked by that instructor. Not the fault of instructor as that is their process but my child feared they would dunk him the entire lesson. We asked the new instructor if they could just avoid dunking him so he would not get so scared. That lesson with new instructor was going great with little to no crying until she dunked him at the very end. Again, probably out of habit. Foss worked with us as we didn't feel it was right timing to bring him back until he was a little older as we wanted water to be a fun experience. Once he was older, no issues and he enjoyed...
Read moreSo impressed with this team. Our oldest was struggling right away keeping up with the peers in his group. When I brought up my concerns with the leader on duty, she quite literally jumped in (into the water) and monitored his progress. I wanted him to go down a level, but he really wanted to stay in his group. Not only were they flexible as we tried to find a solution, but they adjusted their approach and assigned 2 teachers to his group going forward to help him keep up. He ended up staying with his original group, and I was so impressed with their approach and how much progress he made, while keeping it safe and putting me at ease. Our 4 year old had an absolute blast working with Seth. Seth was so great with the little ones, making it fun and exciting to get in the water. They had permanent smiles on their faces through every session. He really has a talent for what he does! Great job Savage Foss, you really have a...
