I have ordered online takeout orders from this location two times in the last two or three months. Both times I have ended up having to sit in the restaurant for 30+ minutes after my order was supposed to be ready.
Today I went in my order was supposed to be ready at 4:55. I got to the store at 4:50 expecting that it probably wouldnāt be ready yet. I check in with the hostess and tell her my name, she tells me itās not ready yet. no big deal. I then patiently wait another 15 minutes in the lobby. She tells me Itās still not ready yet and asks what my name is for the second time. Another 15 minutes goes by and Iāve seen two or three other people come pick up their orders and start thinking this is weird.
hostess comes back out to the lobby area again and asked if Iāve been helped yet and asked my name again for a third time. I tell her my name and Iāve been waiting for an order. She tells me itās not ready yet. another 20 minutes passes by and I only see one other person come in and pick up anything. This was the one of a few chances I even had a chance to speak to the hostess as there was nobody out in the lobby I could even talk to for extended time. I asked what is going on. Iāve been sitting here for almost an hour now and I keep hearing you quoting 25 to 30 minutes on the phone for orders. the hostess (same one Iāve spoke to 3 times already) for a 4th time asks for my name and if Iāve been helped yet. Keep in mind thereās never been more than 2 people sitting in this lobby and only 4-5 others have been in the lobby the whole time. I tell her again. She then Tells me, oh yeah, Iām not sure why nobody told you, but there was never a receipt for your order and tries to tell me I ordered from a different locationā¦. I tell her sheās the only person Iāve spoke to there so who else would be expected to tell me that? I pull out my receipt and confirmed I ordered from this location. Then she digs through the heater out front and finds an order that only had my last name on it for some reason that she claims had been sitting there since before I got there⦠like that was going to make me feel any better.
I ordered three items originally and there was only two that she set out for me so I told her something was missing. She then in an argumentative way, said that I didnāt order anything else. I again calmly said I had a 3rd item. She goes back into the heater and finds it and gives me a terrible non-apology and offered nothing else. Terrible customer service.
There was another guy that came in before I left who also had a delayed order so must be a common theme. I love green mill but this place just doesnāt seem to care about customers based on the couple times Iāve picked up something and I hope others can avoid wasting their time ordering...

The Desert Fire Pasta, substituted with chicken, was terrible. This is a common dish I order at Green Mill. The chicken was a cut up fried chicken patty instead of grilled chicken. This should have been specified as it is not what the dish comes with when ordered at an actual Green Mill location. Secondly the dish had an overwhelming flavor of barbecue sauce. Completely off putting on a desert fire dish, and also not Green Mill standard.

Iām glad we have this in Savage so we donāt have to drive to Lakeville or Bloomington for Green Mill! They have limited indoor seating or you can order and eat inside Crooked Pint which is connected.
