Paid over 25 grand for Thomasville kitchen cabinets only to regret it multiple times and stuck nowhere with non functional kitchen after 3+ months and no way out.

HD Designer started a very nice journey for us, promising heavens figuratively and premium quality cabinets. She made a compelling sketch project for us during a course of multiple sessions. Promised 4-6 weeks for delivery, that anything could be replaced if needed and everything looked amazing until we opened wallet for credit card.

After 6 weeks of waiting, I was surprised to learn that actual timings can be up to 17 weeks instead of 6. Well what a minor lapse for such a nice journey. The shipment was split up in 3 parts, upper cabinets, backordered (delayed for couple of more months) cabinets, and base cabinets. The first shipment came with one damaged which we could not live with and ordered replacement immediately, couple of more minor scratched and chipped and mispainted cabinets which we sadly agreed to keep and one missing part which holds entire installation. Yeah still not an issue at all, if you can sleep with that. One cabinet did not fit the rough opening, and to our surprise it was not returnable because "it is custom", despite promises for company guaranteed measurements. All measurements were done by Thomasville rep.

Second shipment came along and we started aligning cabinets on their place, just to realize that one huge 48inch wide double door cabinet looks bulky and ugly on the wall in high traffic area, and we never asked for oversize. Do they even google about standard sizes when offering such or is it just most expensive one they care about? One base cabinet were overlapping with way to backyard effectively blocking intuitive pathway. Was not looking too loud on the sketch to be easily overlooked by inexperienced customer, but seems like designers do not have to know such a minor things as navigating kitchen space. Overall it feels like we were pushed around by a crook. Well always blame yourself for not being a pro at everything.

Right now we are trying to reach out cos or anybody from the company who can help replacing unfit cabinets or process return, however they are all disappeared somewhere without any promise. Beware when you think of ordering and I definitely would not recommend anyone such an...

I strongly urge anyone wanting to purchase large appliances from this store to run to Best Buy/lowes/menards anywhere else but here. Not only are the staff/service desk employees & managers completely rude, unprofessional & unhappy with their jobs but they literally are completely unaware of how anything runs after you purchase an appliance and spend 3k at their store. As I was dealing with my own situation the service desk woman was yelling at a woman continuously telling her she was wrong etc there’s so so much I can’t even find a place to start.

I have never had an issue with any stores/staff etc. I always give the benefit of the doubt but this store really needs to be looked into by corporate because from the moment I walked in to purchase my appliance to the moment I had to physically come to the store to speak to a store manager (because no one would call me back) to get my full refund was a complete jaw dropping miserable experience.

Every single employee there treated me and others as if we were interrupting their day. Incredibly rude, contradicting, argumentative, unprofessional, uninformed staff.

Aside from that I received TWO damaged LG stacked washer and dryer combos. The first one I kept to try and see if it was usable and my house got filled with smoke and it burnt my clothes. Second delivery I was blown away by the damage on the appliance. I ask for a refund and finally after 3 weeks of being ran in circles by the staff I had to physically go into the store and demand to speak with the store manager who was “on lunch” and refused to see me. Finally after about 40 min of waiting around another assistant store manager came -didn’t explain anything, gave me $500 back, cut me off when I was talking and than finally gave me back the remaining 2k. It was like pulling teeth to get along with anyone there. I’ll never shop at a Home Depot again and same goes for my family. Just baffling.

Also! Gossiping about YOUR CUSTOMERS in the front/back/behind the service desk is SO unprofessional especially in from of other customers. These people absolutely dislike their jobs...

False Advertising and Terrible Management

I'll keep it to short points: -Went in a week ago and tried to purchase the gazebo on display, but were told they do not sell displays. So we purchased a gazebo through their website (they did the ordering and gave us a receipt) which was set to be delivered 2 days ago... nothing showed up. -After discussions with multiple employees and management, they told us "your order was canceled by the computer." WHAT!?! So, get it reordered and delivered, we thought. -There are no more available to purchase now. -We went shopping elsewhere (with no success) and had to stop at Home Depot to exchange a different item when we noticed that the display gazebo was now being advertised for sale as "last one" and "discounted" with a handwritten discounted price sign! -We purchased it. They said to give them 3 hours to disassemble it. So we did and we went to pick it up. It was not fully disassembled even though the text we got from them said it was ready. -While we waited for them to figure out what they were going to do, I went online to HD's website and saw the same gazebo for sale at the discounted price! (This one being NEW and DELIVERED to our house!) -I showed management, we discussed. They did not offer any discount on the used display! Didn't even offer to have the truck rental free! They had ZERO interest in making sense of any of these transactions and we ended up returning the display before even taking it home! -That was a HUGE waste of time and energy and we felt scammed and taken advantage of.

We used to love this location... but since the former manager left, this new manager doesn't seem to care about customers nor employees. It's sad to see Home Depot contribute to losing brick and mortar shoppers to online sales when we need more companies to stand up and fight to stay alive. This location doesn't care.

Side-note... they're already prepping for Halloween. Honestly, we need places to still sell summer items DURING THE SUMMER. It's just sad they cater to the few who shop ridiculously early rather...

Plant Adventures Part 2 🌿✨ I went into the Home Depot in Schererville, Indiana just to look (you know how that goes 👀). I was hunting for string plants, but somehow these gorgeous Syngoniums & Hoyas jumped right into my cart! 🪴💚 Each trip turns into a little plant therapy session—because there’s something about walking those aisles, breathing in that fresh soil smell, and spotting a new green baby that just brings me peace. ♥️QueenPlantMuva said stay rooted, stay real, stay grounded — peace ✌🏽 #PlantAdventures #HomeDepotPlants #PlantTherapy #PlantTok #PlantCommunity

We Purchased A GE Smart Washer and Dryer last year around This time(2023). Our Washer and Dryer turn out to have minor issues So they Send a Tech from "FIX IT 1ST". Most incompetent TECHS I have ever seen work. The Tech and the supervisor both came out and from having our dryer with a minor issue, from changing Literally almost everything but the drum. Well now our dryer has a broken housing, the accessible cover(cap ) is broken, the exhaust hose broken, The housing of the dryer Not assembled together correctly and the screws Stripped(Multple), the knob also broken(loose) and last but not least left wires exposed crimped in between the drum and the door. So the technicians left and said it was okay to use, all while the supervisor approved his work and end result. It could of started a fire from how they left our dryer. We ran the dryer once and keeps short circuiting. Supervisor was there to do work on the washer and ended up not doing anything to it. Thank God, we can only imagine how that would of turned out. So we call home depot protection plan and basically tell us that they can't replace our dryer but only give us was what we paid for last year for it. The dryer now cost $1,300.00+ they only want to give us roughly $900 give or take. we have spoken to supervisors and they just blow us off by saying that they aren't responsible for the damages caused by the Repair Company(Fix it 1st) that they hired. I Can't comprehend how The Home Depot are not liable for the damages done to our appliances, from someone they hired. We are currently waiting for a call back from a "Team Manager" named Daniel. But From what Juan(homedepot protection services Supervisor) said that Daniel will say he will have the same outcome. Very Poor Handling on home depot's Part. PS: the technician was using his phone on YouTube to repair our dryer.

Upsell and Lie if Ya Gotta - Schererville Went to The Home Depots to rent a JLG T350 Towable Boom lift for the day. Was told by the tool rental clerk that it was against OSHA to rent this unit being towed by a Jeep. They could also rent us a truck to tow the unit. After returning home I looked this item up again online. It states 3400 pounds. Well the Jeep I have is rated for 3500 pounds tow capacity. And just to get it home and back would not have been an issue. Then when we called to speak to the manager, Dan, more stores and excuses were made. He explained that they recently had a few customers jack knife ( in the Golden Corral next door) with the unit. And you need a 2 inch ball hitch, so that’s why you need to also rent a truck from Home Depot. I happen to have a 2 inch ball hitch, it is the most common. And I also have chains, for safety, if they were not included with the unit. So we got two or three different stories and excuses from two different people at one location. I happen to be a Class A CDL Driver. I understand and respect weight limits. Safe operation of towing equipment is necessary for me to keep my license. Plus when one works as much as I do, I try to plan my time wisely. I even called ahead of time to ask if reservations were required. I was told at that time they rarely get rented out and that a reservation was not needed. So a few recent jack knife incidents per the manager, Dan. And rarely rented per the clerk over the phone. What is the truth? To provide information online then lie to customers face just to upsell is sickening. And it is not in anyway safe, that is extremely dangerous. A customers time is not as important as an UPSELL at The Home Deopt in Schererville, Indiana. Stay far away from The Home Depot in Schererville, Indiana.
