Paid over 25 grand for Thomasville kitchen cabinets only to regret it multiple times and stuck nowhere with non functional kitchen after 3+ months and no way out.
HD Designer started a very nice journey for us, promising heavens figuratively and premium quality cabinets. She made a compelling sketch project for us during a course of multiple sessions. Promised 4-6 weeks for delivery, that anything could be replaced if needed and everything looked amazing until we opened wallet for credit card.
After 6 weeks of waiting, I was surprised to learn that actual timings can be up to 17 weeks instead of 6. Well what a minor lapse for such a nice journey. The shipment was split up in 3 parts, upper cabinets, backordered (delayed for couple of more months) cabinets, and base cabinets. The first shipment came with one damaged which we could not live with and ordered replacement immediately, couple of more minor scratched and chipped and mispainted cabinets which we sadly agreed to keep and one missing part which holds entire installation. Yeah still not an issue at all, if you can sleep with that. One cabinet did not fit the rough opening, and to our surprise it was not returnable because "it is custom", despite promises for company guaranteed measurements. All measurements were done by Thomasville rep.
Second shipment came along and we started aligning cabinets on their place, just to realize that one huge 48inch wide double door cabinet looks bulky and ugly on the wall in high traffic area, and we never asked for oversize. Do they even google about standard sizes when offering such or is it just most expensive one they care about? One base cabinet were overlapping with way to backyard effectively blocking intuitive pathway. Was not looking too loud on the sketch to be easily overlooked by inexperienced customer, but seems like designers do not have to know such a minor things as navigating kitchen space. Overall it feels like we were pushed around by a crook. Well always blame yourself for not being a pro at everything.
Right now we are trying to reach out cos or anybody from the company who can help replacing unfit cabinets or process return, however they are all disappeared somewhere without any promise. Beware when you think of ordering and I definitely would not recommend anyone such an...
Read moreI strongly urge anyone wanting to purchase large appliances from this store to run to Best Buy/lowes/menards anywhere else but here. Not only are the staff/service desk employees & managers completely rude, unprofessional & unhappy with their jobs but they literally are completely unaware of how anything runs after you purchase an appliance and spend 3k at their store. As I was dealing with my own situation the service desk woman was yelling at a woman continuously telling her she was wrong etc there’s so so much I can’t even find a place to start.
I have never had an issue with any stores/staff etc. I always give the benefit of the doubt but this store really needs to be looked into by corporate because from the moment I walked in to purchase my appliance to the moment I had to physically come to the store to speak to a store manager (because no one would call me back) to get my full refund was a complete jaw dropping miserable experience.
Every single employee there treated me and others as if we were interrupting their day. Incredibly rude, contradicting, argumentative, unprofessional, uninformed staff.
Aside from that I received TWO damaged LG stacked washer and dryer combos. The first one I kept to try and see if it was usable and my house got filled with smoke and it burnt my clothes. Second delivery I was blown away by the damage on the appliance. I ask for a refund and finally after 3 weeks of being ran in circles by the staff I had to physically go into the store and demand to speak with the store manager who was “on lunch” and refused to see me. Finally after about 40 min of waiting around another assistant store manager came -didn’t explain anything, gave me $500 back, cut me off when I was talking and than finally gave me back the remaining 2k. It was like pulling teeth to get along with anyone there. I’ll never shop at a Home Depot again and same goes for my family. Just baffling.
Also! Gossiping about YOUR CUSTOMERS in the front/back/behind the service desk is SO unprofessional especially in from of other customers. These people absolutely dislike their jobs...

I'll keep it to short points: -Went in a week ago and tried to purchase the gazebo on display, but were told they do not sell displays. So we purchased a gazebo through their website (they did the ordering and gave us a receipt) which was set to be delivered 2 days ago... nothing showed up. -After discussions with multiple employees and management, they told us "your order was canceled by the computer." WHAT!?! So, get it reordered and delivered, we thought. -There are no more available to purchase now. -We went shopping elsewhere (with no success) and had to stop at Home Depot to exchange a different item when we noticed that the display gazebo was now being advertised for sale as "last one" and "discounted" with a handwritten discounted price sign! -We purchased it. They said to give them 3 hours to disassemble it. So we did and we went to pick it up. It was not fully disassembled even though the text we got from them said it was ready. -While we waited for them to figure out what they were going to do, I went online to HD's website and saw the same gazebo for sale at the discounted price! (This one being NEW and DELIVERED to our house!) -I showed management, we discussed. They did not offer any discount on the used display! Didn't even offer to have the truck rental free! They had ZERO interest in making sense of any of these transactions and we ended up returning the display before even taking it home! -That was a HUGE waste of time and energy and we felt scammed and taken advantage of.
We used to love this location... but since the former manager left, this new manager doesn't seem to care about customers nor employees. It's sad to see Home Depot contribute to losing brick and mortar shoppers to online sales when we need more companies to stand up and fight to stay alive. This location doesn't care.
Side-note... they're already prepping for Halloween. Honestly, we need places to still sell summer items DURING THE SUMMER. It's just sad they cater to the few who shop ridiculously early rather...
