New Japanese/Sushi restaurant in Schererville. Need to do a better job advertising. Only saw the place since we went to Up Your Alley right next door. Interior is cozy and welcoming. Staff is nice For our food, we got the Hibachi Steak and Scallops, Fried Calamari, King Crab Roll and a Shrimp Tempura Bento Box. The Fried Calamari is the typical frozen breaded calamari; nothing special King Crab Roll was decent; but would get something different next time. Hibachi Steak and Scallops; I was disappointed with the portion size especially when Wu’s House and House of Kobe offers double or even triple the amount of Beef. It is slightly cheaper compared to the other two. Otherwise, their fried rice is less greasy, noodles that comes with it was decent and the beef/shrimp/scallops was also good The Fried Tempura was the best out of all we ordered in my opinion. The breading is light and it was the perfect ratio of shrimp and breading.

I’ve been to all the Asian restaurants in NW Indiana, and I could say that this place has the best atmosphere and food. I noticed they have draft beer, and that is already so rare for an Asian restaurant to have! I got myself a Blue Moon and started with Rock Shrimp as an appetizer, and it was so good, I wanted more already. We ordered Aki Roll and Dragon Roll for sushi and for hibachi, we got filet mignon and scallops and shrimp. Everything was so flavorful and they all came out on unique plates with decorations. The staff had nice uniforms and aprons on, making them look uniformed, professional, and cute, all at the same time! Music as great too (They played K-Pop).

We went on their second night open. Everything was phenomenal. We started with the gyozas. Nice and crispy outside, with a nice tangy dipping sauce. I had the Godzilla roll, the yummy roll, and the California roll. They were all fresh and delicious. I’ve been to sushi restaurants where the rolls were way too big to eat in a single bite and this was not the case here. My girlfriend had the hibachi steak. It was well cooked, well portioned, and very flavorful. The ginger dressing on the side salad was very fresh. Obviously homemade and really knocked the simple salad up a notch. The noodles were particularly good. Definitely will be back.

I am not one to post reviews but this is just insane. I called ahead of time to see if they could accommodate 13 adults and 3 kids and they said yes they made us a reservation. We got there and everything was fine at first. We asked if we could split the checks and instead of doing separate orders for each group she said she would separate it at the end. Our waitress didn’t know what she was doing she was barely servicing us. I thought maybe she is new to waitressing. My brother was the first to order his food way ahead of everyone else as we ordered appetizers. Either she forgot to put in his order or I don’t know what happened because he was the last to get his food and had to get his rolls to go because she never brought it out or just never put it in. Fast forward to the end when it’s time to pay. She messed up our bills so bad. That someone else had to step in and fix her mistakes. They ended up giving my mother in law a “discount” which is probably what she should have paid the first time and refunded the extra $100+ that was charged. She had put just about everything on my mother in laws bill and charged us again for our orders. I don’t know how someone messes up that bad but it was terrible service. You need to give someone who is experienced to a bigger group of people not someone who is new or doesn’t know what they were doing. We were excited to try this new restaurant but ended up leaving disappointed and upset. The food was okay as well. There are better restaurants with better sushi and hibachi in the area. We thought this place would be good with the few new good reviews that were on here but it...

Excited to try a new place and we historically love sushi and hibachi. To start with came in to a lukewarm greeting at best and sat quickly to a 4 top with only 2 set-ups on it. Ordered Shrimp Shumai, Yuki roll, Philadelphia roll, chicken hibachi dinner and shrimp hibachi dinner. Food came and had to ask for water refills and 2 more sets of silverware. Shrimp Shumai was very good! Everything else not so much. Sushi was very blah, hibachi noodles were cold and lacked flavor. Chicken was very bland, hibachi shrimp was good and the fried rice had a strange taste. Server asked twice how the food was and both times I responded “it’s ok….” With no further questioning. Sadly, I feel like without making some major adjustments. This restaurant will not make it very long. Proceed...
