Converse Ranch — Local services in Schertz

I don’t know how my review was removed but I’m going to post it again and keep it real short as I am still currently in the process of legally suing these apartments

2 years back my then fiancé now husband lived in apt 727 we were already in the process of moving we found our new place and began moving things .. we did not let the leasing office know because we were still renting with them long story short we spent 2 weeks at our new place getting things put in place while we still rented this apartment at converse ranch one day after coming home from work I asked my husband if he had went and got the rest of our furniture and belonging he explained he had not mind you the rest of our belongings we’re still at converse ranch our door was locked as we had left it when we left… we get there and it late of course after sun… we reach our apartment and the door is locked !!!! I ask my husband is he sure it’s locked and he says yes …I’m at this point panicking thinking someone is in our apartment so my husband grabs his utility ladder and climbs up to the balcony (we are on the second floor) he manages to get in as the in-trance to the balcony is open …he opens the front door and as I walk in I’m shocked to see all of our stuff GONE !!!!!!!!!! small items were left as if whoever stole our things were coming back for the rest the stuff was just neatly lined up by the door yall my husband works HVAC so he had a storage closet in the balcony full of 410a refrigerant tanks worth thousand along with all his tools everything they took including my sons and daughters toys they cleaned out brand new stuff we had still in boxes like the vans and Nikes I gifted my husband NEVER WORN a brand new laptop I got from Helzberg on a promo of when my husband brought me my wedding ring just so much expensive stuff all gone long story short when we confronted the leasing office they claimed we abandoned our apartment that they left a note on our door saying maintenance would be entering yall we had only been gone TWO WEEKS!!! The leasing manager short Mexican lady was real nasty and rude didn’t rectify nothing or try and get our property back from the maintenance men who stole our stuff yes it was them because we later met up across the street at the Walmart with a maintenance man who felt bad he told us that he was there as other maintenance men went shopping in our apartment he claimed he has nothing to do with any of that and claimed he had not taken any of our stuff he also said when we left the Mexican leasing lady was in the office laughing with some of the maintenance men who stole our stuff laughing about how we would not be getting our stuff back I recorded him and what he said of course all of it was in Spanish he said his wife works for housing he gave me her number I have his testimony and everything these apartments are frauds and thieves!!! I’m still pursuing a lawsuit I will never let this go until we get either our property back or they pay us in court idgaf that was foul and we didn’t deserve that at all I hope whoever see this that works there knows I’m coming for you and yall will pay me and my husband for stealing from me my husband and our children god bless your heart that you had to steal and those maintenance men have the audacity I’ll get them all deported back to where they came from if you wouldn’t steal in Mexico you shouldn’t be stealing...

Moving in and living at the Converse Ranch apartment homes went well for the most part. However, moving out and getting a return on the deposit was a JOKE! The company failed to send the correct return-deposit check, putting the wrong name on it, and then took 2 months to get back to me. They say things like "we will call you on tomorrow..." or "we will give you an update on Thursday" and they NEVER call. It becomes a nagging bitchy-game and frankly, was the most irritating bunch of people I've ever had to deal with. Once they did send the check, it had been charged administrative 'fees.' The reason they gave: They charged me for the returned check and having to make a new check. It was their mistake - they put someone's name on the check who wasn't even on the lease. My return deposit was supposed to be $500 and they gave $275 back.

Also, I had accidentally left two very expensive items in the kitchen, asked the staff to please mail the items and they agreed. One month goes by, after calling many, many times to get the tracking info, turns out they 'lost' the shipping/tracking #s AND the receipt, so I never received the items and had to pay for the shipping.

I've never in my life been so ripped-off by a rental company. They are nothing but money swindlers. Patty the main admin tells you that she's "working on it" when she's doing nothing. I called this place once a week asking them to fix the problems with the check and they say some bullshit thing to pacify you.

The only time they 'worked on it' is when I contacted the BBB and they got involved. Had I known the final deposit check was being fined, I would have never given the BBB my final review of "the company finally fixed the issue." Here's my big middle finger flying at you Converse Ranch. And Patti. And...

Worst place to live. The minor issues: My AC unit went out twice. My top lock hasn't worked since I've lived here (2 long years), still nobody has fixed it. My bathroom sink has had issues for a while, told them when I renewed my lease a year ago. Nobody has fixed it.

The terrible issues: my mailbox, along with several others, has been broken into TWICE. now the lock is permanently broken on it. They hung a picture by the mailboxes of the "mail bandit", which didnt resolve anything. One neighbor has a child that is extremely loud, stomps and runs for several hours a day and I hear it, even though I'm on the 3rd floor. My downstairs neighbors argue and scream all morning and night. The people in the office NEVER answer the phone. I had issues with the rent cafe app charging me twice for rent, but declined the second attempt for insufficient funds. A month went by and I had to call THEM to straighten it out, I had to explain the misunderstanding several times with 3 different people. Send in my bank statements among other things as they didn't believe I paid it, they thought the money was put back on my card and I was LYING. They never called to confirm it was sorted out, I had to get on the app and see it myself.

The apartment is small and overpriced, trash everywhere, walmart baskets scattered throughout, not to mention the creepy guy that lives buildings away but walks/jogs up and down our stairs and just stands there awkwardly looking at you, to the point you feel uncomfortable.
