I have patronized this center for years and the service has declined. Appointments were scheduled for 12.21.23. I was informed glasses could take 6-8 weeks before preparation. No problem. I called for an update on January 21 and was told I would receive a call once ready.
Today, 2.28.24, I went and inquired an update as to my sonās glasses. I was informed that the order was submitted 12.22.23 but they couldnāt locate the glasses. A representative informed me that the glasses are manufactured in a Prison in Ohio and that they have zero control. He also told me that they would call me tomorrow to update me. He reiterated this twice.
25 minutes after departure, they call and inform me that they have found the glasses. For two months Belvedere Eye Center provided zero follow-up. A more professional staff may help alleviate certain issues as well although most are polite.
A pro is that two people came to the window to ensure someone had serviced me.
Be advised that it may take several months after initial appointment to receive your glasses. I recommend getting your exam & prescription here but purchasing glasses elsewhere. Would love to return to this review to give a more positive update if possible as I have enjoyed services there prior.
Update Belvedere Eye Center has contacted me twice since my review was published and Iāve declined to retrieve the glasses (wait time & rushing me off when I went in person to inquire about the status). We have purchased glasses for my son at Costco (amazing service and deals). Personnel was polite during both calls as well. Response to Owner 4.5.24
Yes, that was explained. However, the timeframe that was advised was over. Furthermore, the level of customer service (Rushing me away, stating that the glasses were not on-site, when they were was disappointing. Once I left the parking lot, someone called and informed me that the glasses were in fact at the center). That is poor customer service. Listen to patrons as opposed to telling them āwe...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt took 6 weeks to get my glasses because they said it was being made in a lab. I was told my glasses would take 2-6 weeks to come in but I didnāt think my glasses literally would take the full 6 weeks. When I called to get an update on my glasses I was then told something entirely new. I was told my glasses would come in 4-6 weeks instead of the 2-6. I also was told my glasses would be ready in 4 more weeks but at that time I already had been waiting for 3 weeks. So I questioned the person on the phone about how come it would be 4 weeks if Iāve already been waiting 3 weeks already⦠That would make my wait time 7 weeks at that point. The person on the phone got an attitude with me & reiterated what they said as if I was the stupid one or something. All I did was ask an honest question. There was no need for the attitude. An explanation would have been perfectly fine since I didnāt have any attitude when I asked. If my glasses are a bit delayed just explain that and apologize for the delay. I didnāt get an attitude back with the person on the phone and just said okay because at the point it didnāt matter to me. I knew I would just never give them my service again. The person hung up in my face before I could say anything else or see if there was anything else that they could help me with. Itās one thing to have a long wait time but on top of that the person on the phone is rude. Terrible. I was told the day of my eye exam that if I paid $100 I could get my glasses in 5 days instead of 6 weeks but for about that price I could get a whole other pair of additional frames at Walmart without insurance so I didnāt see the logic in that. 6 weeks is a long time to go without glasses⦠especially if you need them like me. Iād recommend you go somewhere else if youāre smart. I only tried this place because they took my insurance and it was a last minute...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery easy to get an appointment whether it is scheduled or a walk in. The service is pretty quick and their office practices safety measures as far as sanitation. All of the ladies were very pleasant except a tall black lady with black and brown locs, she is very rude, as if she hates her job. She is definitely a bad look to the office. The optometrist assisted my daughter with picking out the best glasses for her and was very informative and the tech on that end was nice as well! The doctor, Dr. Ginsburg, rushed the appointment and my prescription seems a bit off but she was pleasant and informative before leaving. I will return to have it updated, hopefully, i do not have to encounter the grouch!
Edit: Dr. Ginsburg called me and followed up on my visit. She apologized for me feeling as if I was rushed and had me come in to review my prescriptionand even recommendedme to a more comfortable contact. I am at the correct prescription and very appreciative of Dr. Ginsburg doing her due diligence in satisfying her patients. As said before Dr. Ginsburg was very pleasant, as well as all the other staff members, with the exception of the lady with locs. Thank you Belvedere Eye Center! See...
