WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I recharged my Starbucks card with $100 and with my Starbucks card, I bought five $20 giftcards. 3 of them were not activated for some reason, although there was no money left on my Starbucks card. Fine, things happen.
Celeste at Customer Service checks what we already know. 3 cards are not activated. I am $60 short. She says that she cannot refund me $60 because her cashier will draw $60 short. Where was her manager? She said it was her manager's day off. So it's okay if I walk off $60 short after paying for my giftcards??? There should be a manager on duty all the time!!
I ask her to at least give me a call back for the inconvenience. Shouldn't the customer service be showing some responsibility for the inconvenience?
I call the next day and speak to Oscar, who expresses his regrets for how the situation was handled. Super nice and courteous, gets my frustration. Awesome. He tells me to come in any time, "I'm here six days a week." So I go back to Kroger the next day, he's not there. So the manager on duty must speak with Oscar to figure out the situation. I wait.
Marcia the manager comes to resolve the case. She is calling the number on the giftcard, making phone calls. By this time, I am fed up. I wasted enough time on these damn giftcards. I don't want them anymore. I tell her, "Can I just get a refund for the whole thing?"
Marcia ignores me. I speak up again. "Can I just get a refund for all the cards? I don't want to spend any more time on them. "She speaks to me in an irritated tone, "M'am, I know that you are frustrated, but I was doing...." blah blah blah. Well, then, don't ignore me! You could have answered my question and let me know what you were doing while I was waiting. Managers I know are usually wanting to understand and tend to be empathetic. Customer service here is more defensive and worried mostly about their own register turning up short.
By the way, Jordan, the guy at Starbucks was like, "I'm so sorry for the trouble." A few heartfelt words can go a long way. Learn from Jordan, Kroger...
Read moreI have an issue with this kroger still having Romaine lettuce out in the buffet area for customers. I’ve seen it at least twice now. I took a photo of it last week. Last I checked there was a recall. Also, there is a very rude Employee that stocks the shelves. He’s African American and always wears a grey or black beanie, over 6 ft tall, my spouse can’t walk because she has had back surgery so she rides in a cart. He always just continues walking into us as if we don’t exist with the pallets of products. We’ve literally had to dip into an aisle quickly because he’s almost hit her. one night she asked him for help and he just stared at her and said okay. All she wanted was him to help us get an item. It’s ridiculous that most of the aisles are blocked and I understand the items need to be put up but why have 24 hrs if you aren’t going to let the customer actually shop? One night a manager stood around talking to an employee. He could tell we were annoyed and asked if he could help us get something. Part of it was the rude employee that stocks but he didn’t look like he commanded any authority so I felt it was useless to tell him...I told him he could help with everything because they were blocking all aisles and the middle area so I couldn’t get water or cheese because I couldn’t even unless I walked around three aisles. A few days ago we went through the “about 15 items” checkout and the cashier was rude as well. She had an attitude and looked up at the sign as if he to say we had too many items then proceeded to be rude to the person in front of us and ask her a very private question at which the customer look surprised she asked. My wife and I were like “wow, really?” We had a few items over the limit but key word was “about” and I couldn’t carry the 32 pack of water and I couldn’t let my spouse that can barely walk carry it otherwise I would have went through self checkout but I also didn’t see anyone standing over there. Work on Customer service!! I’ll come train them and teach them how to bag if y’all need...
Read moreI had a very awful experience at the North Decatur Road store on 11/2 with the store manager Terry Braxton. It all started with my online grocery pickup that was schedule for 4 pm. I arrived at the store and I had to wait for an hour and a half for my order. Mind you, I drove 25 minutes to the store. Once I arrived home, we discovered almost 95 percent of my order was incorrect. My trunk was full of bags when I only ordered 39 items. I called the store and told them about the problem. I was the one that was questioned even though it was the store that made the error. I had to drive back another 25 minutes to the store and I called when I arrived. The lady that picked up once again questioned me on the problem as if it was my fault that they messed up my order. The manager, Terry Braxton, comes to my car and he had a negative nasty attitude from the very beginning and told me I ordered all of the wrong items. He then yells at me "is this your name? This is your order! You ordered this stuff" He also tells me I can shop at another store and don't come back. I am telling him and trying to show him the app on my phone with my order but he is just talking over me. I am the customer and he treated me like a nobody. He was the rudest manager I have ever seen in my life and after yesterday, I will never shop at that Kroger again. I am still upset from the whole experience and it was not my fault. His store messed up my order and I was treated like I was a nobody. If you look at my shopping history online, I always get the same items every week. I am a faithful Kroger shopper and Terry Braxton treated...
