Very Unprofessional! I booked an 11:45 appointment with Tiera Monae. I got a confirmation email as well as a text reminder of my appointment. I was 5 min late to my appointment due to traffic, but I texted Tiera and let her know that I was ruining late. When I got to my appointment, Tiera was doing another clients hair. I asked Tiera if she needed me to wait until she was finished but I was turned away. Tiera stated that she needed to go to the bank and her friends were in town so she was going to hang out with them. I asked Tiera if I could come back today at at later time, but she said no. She offered for me to come back tomorrow at 8am. I explained that I have to be to work at 10 so that wouldn’t work. Tiera then stated that I would have to reschedule for next week. I was turned away even though I had a confirmed appointment! Once I left the salon Tiera then texted me and said that when I rescheduled she would give me half off my service. However, this will be my first and last time here. If Tiera needed to cancel my appointment she could’ve called or texted me instead of having me drive 40 min from my home to the salon only to turn me away. I am sharing yet another bad experience visiting my hair stylist inside these suites. Management needs to be more proactive with maintenance! I had my weekly appointment and upon arriving at 8:00 a.m. on yesterday morning, there was a strong smell of mildew in the entry area. The ceiling has a serious leak and the carpet was wet. Because there is two doors to enter, the smell is trapped between both. Water dripped down on my head! If I was a stylist that worked in these suites, I would leave at this point. I used a Groupon here and have been doing highlights and low lights my whole life. So I went and asked for the same and she turned my hair orange/yellow. When I mentioned this in the office she got very defensive saying that is what I asked for and said she could not fix it and if I wanted to fix it I would have to reschedule and then said the only way to fix it would to make it white/silver.
