A bit of a long-winded review, but hopefully others will save time and their own sanity based on my experience.
This place might be the most useless business I’ve ever experienced. I’ve tried to purchase doors and countertops here and no one cares to help or even respond to me. I’ve been in to the store, to be told the salesman will be back in 20 min. I returned 30 minutes later, waited another 10 and he finally came in and started talking with some coworkers about the haircut he got while I was sitting there waiting. He never acknowledged me. I had to leave so I thought I’d just call back to discuss my needs with him. I called his cellphone a few times, never got an answer and voicemails were never returned. Follow up calls were met with a “voicemail full” message. All unacceptable for a “sales person”.
A follow up visit to the shop allowed me to talk to the actual Owner about my door needs. However, he never followed up with pricing or lead times either. A follow up call with the owner yielded the same result. He assured me he’d have someone get back to me as soon as possible, but I never heard anything from anyone.
A few weeks later I tried to get pricing on Caesarstone countertops. Same results. I went back in physically for a third time to have the receptionist tell me there was no one there that could help me. I mentioned that it was really impossible to purchase anything from this company, to which she replied “yeah I guess”. No offer to take my name or number, no offer to help in any way, she really couldn’t be bothered. Three visits in person and likely half a dozen phone calls yielded not a single response.
Anyway, I took my business elsewhere and purchased over $9,000 worth of product this company could have sold me if they had bothered to return a phone call. Don’t waste your time on a business that obviously does not care about customers or even their own company. However, if you’re looking for a job where you can get paid for doing nothing, this may be just the...
Read moreI can’t believe I have to write this review. I am SO frustrated with this place!!! I’ve been in my home for not even a year and the 1st thing I wanted to replace was the original 1986 sliding door. Instead of a sliding door I wanted atrium/French doors with a screen. Doesn’t seem too complicated. I’ve seen stuff like this all over. Chris comes out and measures for our new door. I decide to go with Scottsdale Building supply because I want to make sure it fits well and there aren’t any hiccups in the process. First hiccup - the salesman Chris can’t even get the purchase order to the correct email address. Finally after 3 weeks he gets it sent to the correct address. 2nd hiccup - I get a call from them and they tell me that my door is ready. Yay! Almost a week early! My contractor goes to pick it up and it’s NOT ready. Not even close! He tells them he’ll come back the next day. Still not ready. After the 3rd try he is finally able to pick up the door. We knew the screen wouldn’t be ready at the same time as the door but after the long wait on the door we thought they might have had it ready. Nope. Due to scheduling issues we couldn’t get the door installed for a month. After the door is installed I contact our sales person to see if he would be willing to deliver the screen since it took 3 tries to get to pick up the door - and we paid our contractor for each trip. Well, I’ve contacted him several times and after initially responding Chris has gone dark. My contractor was in the neighborhood today and stopped by to see if he could get the screen and no one could find it. What?! And to top it all off there is a problem where the handle of the door is going to HIT the screen when we close it. And they already knew that and never said a word to anyone!! This is ridiculous! I know I’m not a huge client so they don’t seem to care, but this was a big deal to me and a lot of money. I’ve paid in full with no discounts - what gives? I should have gone to...
Read moreRachel Miramontes and Sal Rafidi, some of the best customer service I have experienced in years. I rarely ever take the time to write reviews, but this experience I had to share:
I was referred to Scottsdale Custom Building Materials from the company who designed and manufactured my iron front door. I was told that Scottsdale Custom Building Materials was one of the most knowledgeable and largest suppliers of doors and hardware in Scottsdale and they were right.
I arrived on Thursday 6/13/2024, I was immediately greeted by the General Manager, Rachel Miramontes. I explained the issue I was having with my front door and Rachel immediately recommended the solution. The best part was that I went against Rachel's recommendation and went with a part that I thought would be a better fit. Well, to say the least, I was wrong and Rachel was right, she really knows her stuff.
I called back 30 minutes before close, the very next day, and ended up speaking with Sal Rafidi in the Sales department. I explained that I had bought the wrong part and that I needed to make an exchange but that I was going to be running late, after closing hours on a Friday. Sal took the time to ensure that he had the part in stock, took my payment over the phone, and made arrangements for an after hours pickup. I arrived to find both Sal and Rachel waiting after hours for me. Sal was nice enough to review the issue I was having with my front door and even took the time to offer up additional solutions for me in the event I continue to experience issues.
Sal and Rachel provided an amazing customer service experience and despite their company not selling me my front door, they took ownership of my issue and went the extra mile for someone who knows absolutely nothing about doors or door hardware. Thank you Sal and Rachel, you just landed a new...
