I stayed here with my partner for a staycation/trip (we live an hour away) and an aquarium visit. We were in a 2 room suite with a king bed, and while the decor is a little bit outdated, we loved the room for the price! AC kept the room cool, and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was a little small, but the shower was nice. We were not disturbed at all by the airport sounds. Location of the hotel is conveniently placed and near many good restaurants and stores. Breakfast was lovely with attentive staff and an incredible selection, and the bartender made amazing shirley temples if you don't engage in alcohol.
There is only one ice machine located on the first floor, and I had to go looking for it. My other complaint, which dropped my review from five stars to two, was the front desk service. I had called two times prior to my stay to confirm my reservation. With my membership status, I also wanted to request a late check out. Dejia (?) at the front desk, who seemed less than happy to answer my questions, told me that I was able to stay until noon the latest and that if I wanted to stay later, I could ask during my stay. It was not noted on my reservation, as I had to confirm during check in again that I was set up for a noon check out. Dejia did come out of the back office to confirm we had spoken to the team member checking us in, but she did not address me at all and had a poor and unwelcoming attitude once again.
Imagine my surprise when at 11:03 AM the next morning, a housekeeping staff member barged into my room unannounced while my partner and I were asleep in various states of undress. She claimed that she was not notified of our late check out, despite two phone calls and confirming at check in. I was shaking when she left due to being so startled at the loud noises and argument. I have stayed at many BW properties and have never felt my privacy and space so violated and disrespected. Just for this reason, I would not come back nor would I recommend this stay to anyone. I regret not just eating the extra $20 and staying at the Sundial location, or another...
Read moreWe are so bummed. Seeing the reviews, price , and location my family and I were so excited to stay here. Pros: the room was clean including the bathrooms. Beds are decently comfortable. Hotel nightly rate was lower than anywhere else in the area. Breakfast staff is friendly, catering, clean* Front Desk staff is … informative. Great location. Near activities we needed to be near… walking distance to anything is minimum is 10 minutes. Cons NOT WHAT I PAID FOR! Look at the pictures on the website. Modern clean new linens, textures, aesthetics… glass showers…um not the case. Or how did my family get put in an non-updated room? Yellow walls, the tiniest bathroom I have ever been in! The door misses the toilet by inches when opened. You have to cram between the toilet and sink to shut the door and have a 24x24” space to get in and out of the shower. I’m a small person but this hotel put my family in this room… not to mention my kids and husband are tall… just so crammed. The windows are old single pane windows that haven’t been cleaned. The ceilings are low. Pool is a lil merky and cold… Breakfast is basic hotel breakfast, but the staff is wonderful and friendly making the best with what they have to serve. One of The biggest reasons why I booked here was for the gym. I saw the leg press and cables along with dumbbells and most of the equipment I would need for a work out. Arriving here we checked out the gym first thing and noticed there are no dumbbells or free weights of any kind in the gym as shown in a picture on the website…I can get away with a decent workout.. but we ended up just paying to go to a gym. The hotel just isn’t what I thought I was paying for. .. should’ve known by the price but I’m already here and it’s really too late to cancel and try to book last minute anywhere else. Next time I think we’ll stick to...
Read moreConvenient location for our needs. Staff courteous, kind, very nice. Room was clean, which I appreciated. The first room had a large window that did not open, a TV on a 3 drawer bureau, a desk and chair, couch, microwave, fridge, sink, cupboards and coffee maker. A sign in the cupboard directed guests to contact front desk for flatware or dishes requests. Fixtures such as lamps appeared a bit old and worn. But all in good working condition. The room was not an interior room. It was entered by way of an open air corridor that looked down onto a courtyard that had a fenced in pool, accessible via room key card. I did not use the pool, but I did sit at a table on the pool patio. The exercise room was small and not well ventilated. A one piece weight machine and a couple of treadmills. No dumbells or other equipment. The breakfast included with the room was excellent. Oatmeal, my personal favorite, and the hit selection changed daily. Eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits, fresh fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, pastries, juice and good coffee. There were plenty of plastic utensils and plastic bowls, and also real dishes that looked like nice fiestaware. The kitchen staff were all great. Cleared tables, offered to refill coffee, nice conversation. Hotel lobby well appointed with comfy chairs and lots of publications about what the area offered for people visiting. A family frendly place. And also comfortable for a...
