The tuna that came with my salad was brown, slimy, foul smelling and had what appeared to be worms all through out. Not sesame seeds mistaken as worms as shown in photo. When I spoke with the manager she said “oh I’ll have to make a fresh batch of tuna. It probably went bad I can make you another with the new tuna. The zero sense of urgency when it came to spoiled raw fish was very concerning. Will not be ordering from them again.

I had a great experience at The Salad Shop and am happy to leave a 4-star review! The place was spotless, and it’s clear the manager takes pride in their work—they were super friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. After reading some of the 1-star reviews, I can honestly say my visit was nothing like those—I had a positive experience from start to finish. I’m already looking forward to going back!

The Salad Shop is a clean, friendly, happy place to enjoy lunch with friends or family. The service was efficient and courteous. The ingredients were fresh and the selections were more than you could guess. It was easy to order. The six of us in our group each enjoyed the salad or wrap they chose. We all plan to go back. I'm grateful to have a healthy, inviting place to go to with my friends. I'll be back.

The great: the taste. Very good choices and it seems to be quality protein (this is my only time going); but everything tasted exactly how it should have. The dressing portions are big and so are the salad bowls (humongous, more on this later). The good: the customer service wasn’t that bad. You have young kids working behind the counter in Scranton (but for $52 for three salads and three bottled sodas I can see why people would complain about the service; more on this later). Also the options are a lot. That’s amazing. But you’re going to pay for it. Might be worth it. My gf had the breaded chicken in hers and it was tasty. Another plus is that it’s a huge portion of salad (I don’t complain without giving feedback: offer a smaller size portion as an option. Go half the size at a smaller price point). Another plus was the excess amount of employees behind the counter (get rid of half of them, keep the best three and double their pay). Now for some things that really need fixing. I think your staff needs a course in customer service/engagement. I get it they are teenagers. They’re learning. Maybe put some light music on in the background. Your employees aren’t doing a bad job, it just could be better. The amount of money I paid made me feel really disappointed. Enough so to write this detailed review. Made me wish I went to a chain instead (won’t mention any names). Offer smaller sizes; you’ll use less product; and you can charge a bit less and still make more of a profit. You’re downtown people won’t notice. AND OFFER A BOTTLE OF WATER WITH A $15 salad, lol. Peace and love

PS Good reply to the guy complaining about the...

My mom picked up this delivery for me while I'm in bed sick. The food came out very delicious as usual but the thing that surprised me right when I opened the bag was that the bread was inside the container as well. I would get The Salad Shop salad all the time and the bread would always be in a saran wrap or something, separate from the salad. That way, the bowl would be more fuller filled up with salad and that may be a good catch but sadly this salad has been expensive from the start and now the prices went up from 7.99 to 8.99, why shorten the salad for us too?? Some, or most of us customers are able to make our own salads at home without it being so expensive but this salad personally to me, is quite different. Even tho it's a bit expensive, it makes me somewhat excited to see how full to the top and thick it is. It would feel relaxing, exciting, fill taste buds and stomach up with good food and get you full so that you could share or save for later. The salad being so full kind of made up for the price but now, sadly it's just a slightly bit more expensive salad that's not as exciting as much anymore. Even tho the food is delicious, the 2 stars is for the little amount of salad for...

I will start by saying that I understand mistakes happen ...with that being said, I was disappointed, overall 😕 First time here after wanting to try it for months! We did go at lunchtime so it was extremely busy...no problem, we are pretty patient people. We sat ourselves, immediately, but waited about 10-15 minutes for our wraps. The atmosphere was utter chaos and the employees just looked stressed. We each got a wrap...the half we each ate of ours was ok, at best, nothing to write home about...it fell apart and was sloppy but was generally ok. Then my husband found a hair deep in his second half and that was enough for both of us. He brought it up to the employees to let them know -they half heartedly apologized and offered to make him another one. Needless to say, he declined (for obvious reasons), and they just threw it out and went on with their day. I would have expected an offer to, at least, refund us, partially, but, alas, not so much! They did wear hats but no hairnets (when did this stop being a necessity, by the way). Just an overall...
