Went to see Allt, 156/Silence, Invent Animate, Silent Planet on 5/9/25. The website for the Venue stated that doors opened at 6:30pm and the show started at 7pm. See pic posted. By the time that we got into the venue around 6:45pm, the first band was playing their last song from their set. This was the band that we traveled almost 2 hours to see. The entire floor in front of the stage felt like it was going to collapse down to the level below. It wasn’t just vibration as you could feel the floor actually flexing. In an old theater like this, it was frightening. We went to the upper levels in an attempt to get to a safer area. You could feel the building flex higher up but it definitely wasn’t anything like when we were standing in front of the stage. Security then stopped people from going to the lower level in front of the stage for the rest of the show. We later found out from the bands that the show was sold out. We paid to see all four bands and arrived on time. Shame on you Ritz! I would never recommend this venue to others as show start times are unreliable according to the Ritz website and you truly feel unsafe in the building. There should be an “enter this building at your own risk” sign out front!

What a great and classy place with super-nice staff! We drove in from Rochester, New York to see Lacey Sturm from Flyleaf. We had purchased VIP tickets so we had to arrive very early. The staff was super nice and super patient with everything going on. The venue is very classy and very well kept up and clean. We even needed to leave after the meet and greet so we could have dinner before returning for the show. Try exiting and returning to any venue in Rochester New York - that's a huge no-no, but the staff here at the Ritz was great as long as we had our wristband and ID! They wanded everyone for safety, again being very respectful and professional. Makes me wish I lived in Scranton. Lacey's performance was next level and we hope to return to see her here again sometime soon.

Amazing venue unlike any other I've been to. It's a theater for performances, as the name suggests, but seeing it how me and my friend did was awesome. The concert hall was amazing and accommodated to your needs. You wanted to literally touch the stage? Get up front. Want a view from the back? Get there and enjoy the show. Also, yeah, be prepared for a lot of stairs, but otherwise the place was very traversable and the bands themselves would walk around. Will be back for future shows! Also, the ice cream place is very good. The venue allows you to take the ice cream upstairs to the show room so you don't have to worry about missing the show much or at all. I recommend going! Lovely employees there and nice vibes.

I play in a rock band called The Maguas, based out of Scranton, and just played at the newly owned Ritz Theater this passed weekend, March 1st, 2024, supporting Escape the Fate. Hands down, within my nearly 10 years of activity within in the music business, the Ritz was the most professional venue I've ever dealt with. From a musician's perspective, the staff was so well organized, friendly, and just hands down hardworking. I've played at many larger venues over the years, opening for dozens of national touring acts, and have never quite experienced the treatment that the Ritz gave us, just a few nights ago. It's super exciting and promising to see such a fantastic venue open up in the city of Scranton. I am beyond myself, and for the community, of what great talent the Ritz will bring into the...

The Ritz Theater is a one-of-a-kind place for me, an oasis in a busy and bustling life. The staff is phenomenal, the shows are amazing, and the atmosphere is SIMPLY MAGICAL!! There aren’t any bad seats in the house, and the shows have a professional quality all their own. As a patron, it holds a special place for me and my family. As an inexperienced, part-time performer, I was overwhelmed with the casts - not just their AMAZING talent, but their patience and willingness to help me learn and become one of them in the shows. Mike, Sherry, and the staff continue to amaze, bringing Broadway home with every show. If you haven’t seen a show at the Ritz, you’re missing out! And make sure you stop in at the Black Box Cafe on the way to your seat. But then, that’s another stellar...
