Purple Galore and More — Local services in Seal Beach

The woman working was very rude. I thought the whole concept of the store was amazing and my mother is obsessed with purple, so I took my phone out and started taking pictures. Now, let me just say that if there were any "No photography allowed" signage, I would have abided by the rules, but the lady gabbing on the phone started yelling at me that she doesn't allow photographs being taken in her store. So I put my phone away. I considered leaving right then and there, but wanted to get my mother something purple, so I grabbed a wallet. I don't remember prices being too high or low. It was probably normal tourist prices. I know I wouldn't have paid more than $10-15 on the wallet.

But when I got to the register, she was still on the phone, didn't acknowledge me, didn't give me the total (I had to read it on the register), then to open a plastic bag for the wallet, since she had a phone in one hand, she used her other hand and HER MOUTH to open the bag. I asked her if I can have a new bag, she ignored me, then I repeated, "can I have a bag you didn't put in your mouth, please?" She was still gabbing on the phone. So I just took the wallet out of the bag and left the empty bag on the counter.

I don't know for sure but this was probably the owner with the way she was saying "MY STORE." If this was the owner, and if by some chance you're reading this, owning a business is 75% customer service. You can have an amazing product (you do), but if you don't treat your guests with respect, your business will plummet! So get some "no photography" signs and PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR GUESTS, greet them coming in, thank them as they leave, and give them your undivided attention while ringing them up! I've been in customer service for 10+ years. I would have been fired for treating people this way.

I've debated whether or not to post my photos, but out of respect of the owner's wishes, I won't. On a last note, I rarely hand out one star reviews, so don't think I'm a jerk who just likes ruining...

I have lived in seal beach for 2 years and my mother in law loves purple so we decided to check this place out. We quickly left after the sales lady was rude to us because I brought my 18 month old daughter in the store. She was making noise but we were the only ones in the store. I was watching her and had she broken anything I was prepared to pay for it. The saleswoman starting telling me how to parent my child. She must not have children because if you are a parent you would have the common sense to know that human decency advocates against this. I recommend avoiding this store out of principal. I believe that that the rude woman is the store owner based upon other reviews I just read. She needs to learn that treating others poorly doesn't pay off when trying to...

Funky little place if you're into purple clothes and accessories. Some nice items and others typical gaudy beach wear. Purses and hats are some of the more tasteful items.

Told the store owner I was taking pictures to of a few items to show my wife who is into purple. My wife is at home out of state so I wanted to check with her before purchasing something for her. The owner had no issue once I explained what I planned to do.
