This is the second trip we have taken with African Safari Company and it was outstanding in every way. We started with a safari in Timbavati Private Game Reserve which is adjacent to Kruger. We saw all of the Big 5 and our driver and tracker were both excellent. The food and service at Simbavati Game Lodge were first rate and, as always, Sundowner was a highlight! We then traveled to Cape Town which turned out to be a marvelous city. Four Rosmead, where we stayed, was a wonderful boutique hotel with a great view of Lion's Head behind the property. While in Cape Town we went great white shark cage diving in Gansbaai, Robben Island and down to the Cape of Good Hope. Our guide Josh was extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating. We finished our vacation at Babylonstoren, which was an unexpected treat! It is one of the most unique properties we have stayed. A combination of organic farm and winery made it a perfect place to wind down our trip. Also, the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating! If you are curious about Babylonstoren, Google it and you will find lots of articles about it. Definitely a can't miss! African Safari has consistently booked us in first class resorts and provided us with unforgettable experiences in Africa! By the way, we firmly believe that July is the best time to go to South Africa. The temperature never got much above 80 degrees and, for the most part, the weather was perfect. You do risk the chance of rain, but we never saw a drop in the 2-1/2 weeks we were there. All in all a great experience and I would always trust African Safari Company to plan an unforgettable experience.

Read moreWe have returned from our two week safari, and it was “beyond expectations.” The “easing into it” was great with the night in Johannesburg, the day at Victoria Falls, then the houseboat and game drives by boat on the Choebe Princess. The guides, accomadations and food was great. Then we took a short plane trip to the Okavango Delta, and stayed at Sanctury, Stanley’s Camp. Out guide took us out for 7-8 hours every day (two game drives-morning and evening) to see animals, and could answer every question we asked. The food was extraordanary, some of the best I have ever had. The elephant encounter was “priceless.” My wife Linda loved it, as did I. The 2 elephants we met are huge, bright, loving animals lovingly cared for by Sandi and Doug. And the last four days in Cape Town were fabulous. When we told other folks on safari that we were going to Cape Town, they all said, “you’ll love it, “ and we did. Not only were the lodgings and food fantastic; the guides/ pick up people were on time and very helpful. Everything was flawless and fabulous. Thank you so much. I’d love to return, and when I do, I’ll...
Read moreWe’ve recently returned from our Africa Safari trip and I am pleased to say we found all Julia's arrangements to be flawless and the suppliers, accommodations and Safari camps top notch. All meet and greets and transfers and organized activities were excellent. We fell in love a little at Bateleur and Bomani, with the camps and the key people looking after us - it was hard to leave and we have many fond memories. The single incident with the horse back riding double payment was skillfully solved (wow!). Julia is incredibly responsive, and put together an itinerary at a price point that was perfect for us. She obviously knows and loves Africa and wants her clients to have a fantastic experience. In our book an adventure not to be missed, never to be forgotten. You can absolutely trust Julia and her team to handle your Africa travel arrangements. Hopefully we can visit again on a future date and we will certainly contact Julia and her team at African...
