Standing outside you’ll hear the authentic Thai music and see happy diners walking in. As you get inside, you’ll be welcomed by a smiling and enthusiastic staff. This southern Thai inspired restaurant is family run with the mom and sister being 2 of the chefs creating the dishes. The brother is the manager of this and 2 other restaurants that the 3 of them hop between. The food here is delicious and unique. If you like Pad Thai, this place has the southern style that is cooked with coconut milk and tamarind sauce! This is my new favorite pad Thai spot. I also highly recommend both the Karee puffs and the beef bhuna. They also offer a variety of drinks that pair well with the food. If you’re looking for a new favorite, I loved the umeshu and the mango mojito. The woodland park zoo is a walkable distance away so if you and your family are looking for an affordable and tasty spot, this is for you! 😁

I’m Thai so I always have high expectations for Thai restaurants. But this place I would give 10 out of 5 stars if I could. I don’t see much Southern Thai food in the area, so this is new and exciting. They accommodated our 6-person reservation. The portions are on the smaller side, which let us try many dishes. I can say everything we tried was really delicious and authentic. The main highlight was MUU KHO. We had to order it twice. The spiciness level isn’t really at the level of southern food you’d find in Thailand, but I understand why. Myself, from central Thailand, cannot handle the real southern spiciness either, so this was perfect for us. Service was great and very attentive. There are many other dishes we didn’t try, and we will definitely come back.

It’s the best Southern Thai food in town! I work in this area today and googled Thai restaurant in Green Lake area. Tasty authentic taste, great service, the owner and his mom are so kind and sweet. I’ll come back again (tomorrow!) I ordered “Kua Gling” stirfry ground pork in turmeric kaffir-lime leave Southern Thai chili paste. It’s good with rice and/ or beer! Another food is “Muu Kho” Muu is pork, but I don’t know the meaning of Kho. It is crispy pork belly in shrimp paste ….. soooooo good. I got homemade Roti….you won’t believe it, they made from scratch not the frozen one unlike other places.

I was so excited to go to Roy’s after reading all the great reviews. We had a reservation at 7:30pm on Saturday night and were seated at 7:30 so all seemed good, sat at the table for 20 minutes and no one came over not even to take a drinks order. We then had to get the attention of one of the servers. When they finally came over and we were placing our orders , all the dishes we wanted were not available , the ones that people had called out and we really wanted to try. Eventually we found some dishes that were available and ordered. Only one of our appetizers came out and our main courses came out one at a time with a few minute gap between each. One dish did not come out at all and so we asked about and were told the kitchen is closed , so we said but we had already ordered it. We did finally get that dish , about 15 minutes after everyone else’s meals had come out and about 1h 15 after we had first placed our order, the food overall was good but with so many items not being available and the incredibly poor service , it was incredibly hard to enjoy a place , that we had really been looking forward to. Overall a very...

Roy is a new Thai place in the same spot on Phinney Ridge as another Thai place that we never visited. This weekend we decided to stop in for lunch and it was a delicious treat! We had the (gluten free) fried chicken appetizer—it had a nice crunchy skin with a hint of lemongrass. It was juicy and flavorful with a large enough portion for the two of us. We also had the chicken satay appetizer that was amazing. Lastly, we shared the pad Thai (served with tofu). Often places make this overly sweet, but not here. Similar to the appetizers, it had a balance of flavors and was truly delicious. The staff was friendly and the space is colorful and inviting. The only complaint is that the windows are tinted so it’s hard to know when it’s open (but the do have a neon sign). We suggested a sandwich board to capture folks like us walking by. It’s a great new spot and a place we will...
